hey question for all you stoppie fools... I can get them up nice a smooth now.. and I feel completely in control of them now.. like I can stir them now.. but... I can only roll like 30 to 50 feet... at the end of the stoppie I hold it in the air for like 3 seconds... how in the WORLD do you get them rollin longer?? I'm coming in at like 50 to 60 mph? is it really have to do with 90mph??? or is it about BP?? dampeners??? less air??

 

Or not. That is another classic case of Gundumb's stupidity. +70-80 mph makes no sense. Is he defining that it should be over 70, hence the + in front of the 70, but below 80? If that's what he meant, why not just 70-80? Or is he saying greater than 70? And if he's saying that, then why the -80? Or if he meant greater than 80, what's with the 70-? He's just trying to backpedal, because that's all he's good at

 

You definetly should have a good damper if you don't have one already. It sounds like you need to work on your pick up. The more you do them, the more comfortable you will get with picking them up fast. Try to limit your approach a little, some times more speed is not really the awnser when you are first learning them. Something that I like to do from time to time is practice from a 100ft approach. By eliminating your speed, you are forced to work on your form and quick pick ups to get any distance. Make sure you also have a spot to mark your pick up, try not to be late!

 

the faster you can snap it up to BP the less speed you will lose. the higher you have it the less brake you need. you will roll it out farther every time.

The problem most people on the forums have with pete has nothing to do with how fast people are starting their ONE THOUSAND foot stoppies, its the fact that he gives out this information, when stunters aren't even gonna give it because we know we arent rolling them that far or even thinking aobut picking the rear tire up at those speeds...A monkey could figure out the speed needed to roll that far, but you shouldn't be telling people unless you've actually done it yourself.
