Brennan (MobnOne) Down/taken out
I just got off the phone with the celebrity known as Hap J. Terrell, some of you know him as HJT, lol, and apparently at the famed Springfield barbecue/stunt meeting, Brennan got taken out. I don't really know the whole story but from what I got, some squid dude floated into the stunt "area", basically a road with two cul-de-sacs on the ends, and rolled a christ, at which point he bailed off, and sent his bike trucking at 50 mph directly into Brennan as he was turning around. Hap said B's leg was gashed pretty hardcore from his knee to his ankle, and said it was full-on opened up....He is in the hospital down there. Hap said that he seemed like he was mostly fine when they had to leave to go back to KC. I don't really know Brennan that great but I met him once, and clearly this blows no matter who it happens to, so get well quick bro.
and as a quick reminder, if you ever set up anything where your stunting a street, hook up some caution tape to prevent unwanted people from riding.....
According to Hap everything kicked *** other than this...
Heal up bro....

theres something on the springfield board about it, but i dont really even want to post the link........ They Basically told the guy who was doing the "ironcrosses" that it was okay and it was an accident blah blah blah...... I mean, clearly he didnt do it on purpose, but someone said something about how the guy who bailed had only been riding for a week or something.......redicullous..... kinda CTC ride kylepbz-esque huh?

I Just Got Off The Phone With Brennan, He Is Going To Be In Hospital For A While, The Cut Is So Bad That They Cant Staple It, And He Has To Get Skin Graphs From Other Parts Of His Body. He Will Be Out For Like 4 Months. I Hope He Sues The **** Out Of That ****ing Squid,
Re: Brennan (MobnOne) Down/taken out
things like this are the reason these rides need to be confined and controlled better. I've been at stunt shows that it would have been easy for me to just roll my bike into the middle of the show, BUT I didn't feel I was good enought to safely ride with the people there, or in that area without hurting myself or someone else. Too many times, I've seen/heard of someone around here crashing because they had no idea what they were doing.....last year a mexican guy died taking out his F4i for the first time(1st street bike), classmate from highschool saw a video of stunts then crashed on the highway trying to do a christ(his rash was on bone on his shoulder!!!!), and just last week some squid totalled out my friends bike at over 100 mph and it was his first time on a streetbike. When are people gonna learn you can't just jump onto something you've never been involved with. You don't see a city boy going to a BullRiding comp and getting on the biggest baddest bull the first time he walks thru the door, do you?? Learn it first, get it on lock, know how to get out of a bad situation, then you might THINK about showing off your learned skill.
I sure hope that squid has alot of insurance, skin graphs aren't cheap, and will more than likely costs more than the $50,000 minimum coverage most cyclist carry, hell, the ambulance ride will prolly cost $2,000 by itself, $2,000 for walking in the emergency room, $700-1,000 a night for a "normal room", more for ICU rooms. Pain, Suffering, Lost Wages........its never ending, BUT keep in mind this is gonna be really hard on him to recover!!! The more support everyone gives him, the better!!!!

Saw this in the XMX forum too...
Brennan is a hell of a kid with a lot of skill for his age...wish nothing but the best for him .... hopefully he's out of the hospital soon ... sucks he was taken out by an inexperienced rider ...
Give him props for me next time you talk to him Brian....

Re: Brennan (MobnOne) Down/taken out
Hey this is Brennan. I finally got a computer hooked up in my hospital room. I found out that the injury is alot worse than I expected. I talked to the doctor today and he said I will have to be on the vac machine(it takes blood and dead tissue out of the leg to reduce the swelling) for 2 more days. I will probably get transferred to CMH in KC tomorrow. The gash is too wide so they will not be able to staple or stitch my leg. I will probably need skin grafs in the next two weeks and still be on the vac machine. I'm still on alot of pain medicine so my leg doesn't hurt too bad. I can't get out of my hospital bed. The muscle is damaged so I will need physical therapy for awhile after surgery. The doctor says I won't be able to ride for 4 months. Initially when Ryan came to see me I thought I would have stitches and be out of the hospital the next day and be riding in a month. This is not the case. This is a worse injury than I anticipated. I really want to thank everyone who came to see me. I want to thank everyone for the feedback on the forum. I would like to give a special thanks to Randy for giving me his signed gloves and Hap, both Steves, and Frank for being so helpful. Thanks to everyone who helped at the scene of the wreck. I do plan to get back on a bike as soon as I can. Thanks for all the people who have been calling back from KC. Brennan
