First gear (slow ****) brake control
When riding first gear slow **** (15 ta 30) mph... Are you constantly on the brake .... I ride the brake a little bit when it gets close to BP.... Am I learning the wrong way in doing this... Also is there ever a point were you are completly off the throttle, other than coasters? I am learning so I sometimes chop the throttle, will turning the idle up help me...

Re: First gear (slow ****) brake control
I just learn'd slow wheelies/12's a few days back
what works for me is turnin the idle up, to like 3 or so.
then clutch it pretty hard, and lean back, gotta use ur weight to help you. you gotta bring it up quick, then like catch it with the rear brake.
Then i find that i'm kinda ridin the rear brake, but not real hard, just enough that when i need it, its ready to go, yah know what i'm sayin. and just applying minimal amounts of pressure. I'm never off the throttle completely, but u gotta be really smooth on the throttle when doin slow wheelies. the way i learned my brake control the best was ridin 2nd gear standups, and keepin constant throttle and usin the rear brake to keep me where i wanna be. Kinda like i'm givin it more gas than it needs, and i use the brake to keep it in the balance point. I dunno its just what work'd for me
