OUTERMOST distributor experience.......

So get this.........

We finished up the DVD and decided to send out a few copies to the sports main distributors to see if they were interested in picking it up for distribution. We sent one copy to X-Factor video and one copy to IMPACT video. I contact X-Factor and they say their not interested. I ask them why and they said it was because its the slow season which makes sense. But I saw that they have picked up some other videos lately even though it was a slow season so I dont understand the reasoning there. Then I contact IMPACT video and speak with Docy. I sent her two copies cause supposedly they misplaced one. I contact her and she tells me their not interested because the video looks too amateur. I was like what? She said the footage was poor. I asked her how well she follows the sport and she said pretty good since she was the founder of it. Right then and there I was like wow. I dont even need to go any further on trying to convince her that our vid is worthy cause obviously she knows what she is talking about since she founded the sport lol. Now normally I wouldn't come on here and post something like this because a lot of times people dont need to know every detail but this really got to me. How is this sport supposed to succeed when there are so many politics involved. Im sure if our video said Darius240z presents on it they would of picked it up. Thats so wack. Here we are busting our asses to help the sport get to where it needs to be and to put out a good video. From what we've seen people have liked it and I truly believe that it is good enough to be picked up but I guess I was wrong. Its cool though cause that will only push us and makes us work harder to succeed. From day one we've done everything ourselves. We're our own editors, filmers, webmasters, mechanics, graphic artists, promoters, and from the looks of it distributors. This wont bring us down. You can guarantee that we will continue to work as hard as we can to bring you quality stuff. We are already working on a new DVD that will blow the first one away. We will not go away. We will not be pushed out cause of gay politics. This has motivated us so much that in a way Im glad it happened.

Just thought I would let everyone know how things work in the sport. I thought they worked differently but I learned that first hand. If you feel the video deserves to be there with the rest email these companies and let them know how you feel. Thanks to everyone who has supported us. We really appreciate it. Your the reason why we do what we do and why we work so hard at this.

I guess the reasoning behind the team name OUTERMOST makes sense now. It means the farthest out and thats exactly how we felt after hearing all this. But we aint gonna kiss anyones *** to get anywhere in this sport. We are gonna stay true to what we believe and thats just the way its gonna be.

Damn bro I cant believe they said it is to amateur? That is the stupidist thing I have ever heard. I know I have only rode with you once but from what I saw there is no way you guys are producing jank *** ****. I am going to go to both companys right now and give them my 2 cents. Good luck on the new video and I cant wait to get ahold of this one. How could I go about doing that anyways? Can I buy one directly from you or what? Let me know man and keep your head up, you guys have way to much talent to let a stupid ***** like that hold you down.

Re: OUTERMOST distributor experience.......

So since we are talking about DVD's in this thread.....do any of you feel that video distributing companys (Impact Video to name one of the largest and best known) should limit and have standards for what stuntriding videos they market, the last I counted they had 63 videos in the Streetbike section. the percentage of the ones worthy of $25 on the lower side.
I totally believe in the American way and that everyone is entitled to make a video if they so desire, but the market is way saturated and think their does need to be some method to the madness? Curious to hear your thoughts and suggestions, we all know we've bought a video at one time or another and was disappointed.
I guess one of my biggest pet peeves is when a video features all stolen music, you know Damn well 50Cent didnt sign his music rights over, and then my next question is how did that slip through the hands of the manufacturers and distributors? whatever, right? actually, I had heard that some videos got pulled for that **** so I am not even sure if people are still doing it, I am burnt out on watching videos, they all seem to blend into one another as of the last couple years. you might see an exceptional rider with mad *** skills here and there, but then the video hits a dead spot, and I find something else to do. I guess if I wanna watch a video nowadays I put in an old favorite and it reminds me of the good old days when I first got hyped on this sport and then it makes me wanna go out see some highway coasters and combos to satisfy my need for adrenaline!
therefore I cant wait to see all of you blazing it up at the annual Streetfighterz ride on Sept 24th!
Ps. Missed Brandon and Patrick's skills la couple years ago!!!! that year in the rain rocked!!! Last year Starboyz, Dan Jackson, KC's Most Wanted, Eve from Up on One, Cory from D'Aces, Streetfighterz, and the boys from New York , and Andy from STLShockers to name a few off the top of my head killed it!
Peace out everyone!!

I had posted this in another topic and then bam! this thread is started, how ironic?
So do you feel there should be some method of choosing videos to distribute so the market is not flooded?

exactly.....

I feel that if they are gonna be a business that wants to run the distribution side it is there job to follow the sport and weed out the videos that arent worthy. Which I guess is what they did with ours. So in a way I dont blame them one bit. But to just start telling videos no because they havent done their job in the first place is wrong. How can a company say they are the ones to call the shots on whose vid gets picked up but yet not even follow the sport or know who the riders are.

Whose to say they even watched the video? Maybe their just rejecting them as they get them since its so saturated. Whose to say? Either way they lack organization and need to do something if they wanna be distributors of good videos.

Re: OUTERMOST distributor experience.......

Docy not picking it up, hmmm.....like I said, she has too many damn videos already on her shelf, and then the dealers only order one to ten units of a title in a 3 months time period cause they have too many to pick from and then their sales at the dealership drop off on videos cause someone got a "shitty" video and wont take the chance of wasting another $25.00 and then noone is selling anything anymore! There has to be standards!

Team Outermost if your video is the **** and you guys are bringing it, and you dont get picked up by a distributor, then apply this method:

Distribute your video through
Stuntlife. com
Stunters. com
UponONe.com
and market your video in the magazines by having them do reviews of it! the true fan base of stunting is active in these communities and will buy your video if word of mouth says its good!

Good Luck!

thanks man....We wont let this drag us down. Its just gonna make us work harder to make them notice us. We will never sell out to this type of ****. We believe that if we keep putting out good stuff with new tricks that progress the sport then they cant ignore us.

You can get the vid from the site for a reasonable price

Your on the right track. Everything you just said is exactly right.

We distribute on stuntlife, stunters.com, soon to be uponone.com, and from what I hear SuperStreetbike is doing a review on it in either the next issue or the one after.

LMAO.....does anyone else think that guy sounds like a robot
In my best USR voice
" I am the ultimate Stunt rider "
" I will make you rich "

Come to think of it...I am starting to believe that USR is actually Tony Robbins and this is just another one of his infomercial type get rich schemes..Just look at my teeth and it will all make sense...!!
