Re: freestyle ingenuity

Everyone on here seems to like them. Does the loop connect to somthing under the center of the bike?

Re: freestyle ingenuity

ive had to re weld subframe tabs becasuse of the FI on the 954. go with MXD, powers or a 905 on a 954. on the 954, the subframe tabs are 1/2" think aluminum, very easy to snap off.

we just redesigned our 954s so they dont hit shins or anything like that too.

Re: freestyle ingenuity

you're good with freestyle, i've been running them for years and have never had a problem

if you do get another cage you better order some chin gaurds too

Re: freestyle ingenuity

-Awesome cage--make sure if you dump it a lot on one side, take the loop off and re-bend it out or else the loop tabs will hit the corner of your clutch cover, break off and leak oil....

Thumbs up Re: freestyle ingenuity

The FI cage is one of the best on the market. Protects the whole bike vice only the engine like some cages.

Re: freestyle ingenuity

why would you buy a cage and not do any research before hand??.. i've seen way too many motors, tabs and frames break with fi cages.... although 99% were 900/929/954 hondas

And I (nobody) agree with PawPaw and Rick. Had FI on a 929 and R6 with no problems. Alot of people expect their cages to absorb retarded amounts of impact. If you're taking your bike rock climbing,no cage will help.

Naw it doesnt connect to anything its just one piece that wraps down under and then up...bolt it to the mounts and take off...they're great cages...

Re: freestyle ingenuity

for 929, heard they are decent but i'd go with MXD, or 905 personally. i'd rather bruise shins if it be the case, than replace some $$ parts

Re: freestyle ingenuity

I had an FI on my 954 and changed over to 905 to see what all the hype was about... take a look at what happened.... https://www.stuntlife.com/forums/sho...light=929+cage

Back to FI and very happy once again.
