Ok so yesterday im riding down this road and i pull up on some girls so decided to be a little showy.....well bad idea considerin it was really windy and i wasnt thinkin so anyway i jump up on the bike and start to stand up 2 do christ...all is going well untill i get hit by a wind gust which knocked me off the side.... so i went a rollin in the ditch and the bike just kept on going for maybe 1 more telephone pole untill in went off the road and laid in some weeds....now myself i personally was pissed cuz of like 4 scratches on the right fairin...thank god for frame sliders...anyway i got road rash all over but no biggie that **** heals hurts but heals...anyway so guy comes out to help me we put my bike behind my house and he was gettin ready to take me to my buddies to get cleaned up when a sheriff pulls in and says how she has to report it and all this ****..... now get this, this cop is like f#kin psyco even after i told the cops from my town bout it they said it was real shady 2. Well anyway she ends up given me faliure to maintain reasonalble control or something.. I dont get that cuz i didnt hurt anyone but myself...any way to get outta this or just pay up?

i had the same exact **** happen to me word for word, except my bike found a road sign to run into, and i never got a ticket, cuz the cop knew i learned my lesson since my bike was a heap of broken plastic. i'll rock rev limiter coasters all fukken day but i'll never do that stupid **** again

If you were smart and kept your mouth shut, and nobody is gonna testify that they SAW you do it, then the burden of proof relies on the psycho cop.

 

i fliped a stoppie comin to a light a few weeks back and the cops came and we took off i was in a truck at that time all bloodyd up and stuff but the cops came after us and pulled us over and looked at me andlooked at the bike and said since there wasnt 500 worth of damage to the bike he didnt have to do a accident report? and he let me go with nothin at all

 

Its ALL in the judges hands now. He can either feel bad for you and dismiss it or reduce it to improper. **** sucks I know-
3 years ago I crashed on the interstate all by myself...State Cop gave me a reckless and when I went to court the judge actually felt sympathy for me because I hurt only myself so he dismissed it.

-I broke my back and a cop gave me 4 tickets. I went to court with my back brace on, the cop said I was doing stunts because she saw rubber marks on the street (i was'nt doing burnouts) and the judge gave me an improper/dropped the other 3 equipment tickets. Lesson learned: don't crash on the streets. And for us bikers its always GUILTY until proven INNOCENT (well in Virginia anyways).

I would have told her I didn't know what she was talking about, and left. If she wasn't there to see the accident and no one called it in as a complaint then she can't do sh*t

First, way to go showoff, no ***** for you! LOL Glad you are ok! Here in our area there is some lame ticket called"leaving the roadway" if you wipe out or whatever, it's a lame law, like most of em' because it is the officers discretion whether they choose to give a ticket or not. You should have said an animal ran out into the road and you lost control, works everytime from what I hear..

LOL thanks for the support and all... anyway the cop wasnt there when it happened but my luck a local from the fire and rescue was driving the other way when it happend but luckly i read her statement and it said that she saw me kneeling on the bike. When the cop asked me why I said that it started to wobble and that hittin the brakes in a wobble only makes it worse. So i stood up...on the pegs in order to regain control. But by then it was to late. I dont know where this lady saw me from cuz no one was round except the girls and they drove off after i told them i was ok. But anyway im going to court AUG 16 so whatever once the judge sees the pics of my back and shoulder and arms and hands he/she might let me off. However this cop is gonna *** me cuz she asked me what i had to do and why i was in such a rush to leave....well I hadda be at fball and go to the fire hall because thurs our meeting night... well i guess she called over to sville and asked if the firefighters had a meeting in 15 mins which i said i was going over to my buds house in 15 when i was talkin on the phone...well the company said no so then she calls me a liar bout how im not a firefighter and how there was no check in...but like i said i never said there was...so shes gonna tell the judge im a liar and all kinda shiet so i might get screwed....sorry not a squib either been riding and racing dirtbikes since i was 7 so 11 years ridin experience but daamn u wind lol....i admit it i got my *** kicked by a gust of wind...

 

**** earlier this year I 12'ved my bike on the street and hit the bar and it got all squirrely on me and i crashed. I managed to drag the bike off the street. Cop rolled up 5 minutes later with my bike still laying on the ground and asked me what happened. I guess someone called it in. My jeans were torn from knee to ankle and my knee and arm was bleeding. I told the cop that I had been riding all day and my bike was tired and needed to take a nap. He just laughed and asked if I needed a tow truck. I said no and that i was ok. Then he left. Haven't had any bad experiences with cops and me crashing. KNOCK ON WOOD!!!

 

If you got a "failure to control the vehicle" and not reckless driving, you've got a decent chance of getting out of it.

I got one of those in my car. slipped off the road when it was wet out, and went into a ditch. when the cop showed up, he said that I was going too fast and gave me one of those f/cked up tickets.

when I took it to court, I told them that a little mexican kid ran out in the road and I didn't want to hit him.

I ended up still getting the ticket, but it was a 50/50 kind of thing. the ticket stuck, but I didn't have to pay the fine. To this day, it still shows up on my insurance as "driving on the sidewalk"

last april..a car pulled out in front of me and i hit him in the a$$....by hitting the rear of the car, it was legally my fault...i payed the guy to leave and carried my bike and threw it in some thick bushes to hide it till we got a truck to come get it....well...before the truck got back to get it, the cops had already came..someone told them they saw us carry the bike and throw it in the bushes..the cops go look and take pics..i get a ticket for improper braking and leaving the scene of the accident because we didnt leave the bike in the middle of the road...

as far as the cops knew..there was no other vehicles involved and no property damage (except my bike) but they still ticketed me.......si if your laws are like south carolina's...your in the mercy of the judge now...

 

I f/cking hate people that rat on you like that. Honest to god, if I saw somebody throwing a bike in some bushes, I'd laugh and probably ask them if they needed help. Wtf makes people go "oh yeah, let's call the cops and get them in trouble!" fat b'itches. I hope they catch herpes.

 

Well ill find out august 16th when i go to court ill let you guys know what happens maybe ill be lucky to get the points on the lisence but not have 2 pay...
