Re: best place to buy a COMPLETE handbrake setup

i've been doing a lot of research now since i've decided to put one on my bike.
From what i've read, there's no reason to shell out the $$$$$$ to get the fullthrottle rear master cylinder. The stock one works the same. Also, for the front master cylinder, don't use one with a cast in resevore like the ones from moto-heaven.com or gptechllc.com (if you plan on putting the brake below the clutch). Use something like a nissen master cylinder from fullthrottleinc.com or a gsxr, 929, 954 front brake turned up side down. You'll need an adapter for the rear master cylinder which can be bought from gptechllc.com or moto-heaven.com. The brake line and fitiings can be bought from those 2 places also, or you can get them cheaper at cyclebrakes.com
that's it

what the hell, i can't edit after 5 min???
Well i realized that motoheaven doesn't show the option of buying the lines and adaptors seperately.
I figure that i should be able to a full setup that bolts right up for around $120.

Re: best place to buy a COMPLETE handbrake setup

you are going to spend a lot more money to buy a bolt on and go HB... if you take a little time and find a master cylinder on ebay or where ever, you will save loot, just a heads up

and www.gptechllc.com (GP Tech) has kits that include the adapter and line CHEAP!, all you need to find is the Master! (upside down front master off of almost any bike works, we use GSXR's

If you decide to go there, ask for Geoff (the owner), tell him i sent you, he'll take care of you
