St. Patricks Day - South Side Parade
25th Annual South Side Irish St. Patrick's Day Parade
100th and Western
12 p.m. Sunday, March 16
A favorite among twentysomethings, the parade features 120 groups including bands and Irish dance schools. Stepping off at 103rd Street and Western Avenue, the parade then heads south on Western to 115th Street.
Young partyers tend to set up camp on the west side of Western (naturally, that's where all the bars are), and the families stick to the east side of the street. Be warned: Bathrooms are hard to come by, so plan accordingly.
