he isn't gonna respond to this thread.....think about it everyone wants to shiv his *** prison style, present compnay included...the camera might be at a pawn shop, it may be in his closet, but the chances of him keeping his mouth shut are minimal. Everyone has to tell at least one person, secrets are IMPOSSIBLE!!!

Offer him this: he returns it, man's up and apologizes, and you keep his name off the forum and between you two. He doesn't have to worry about showing at comps, riding down the highway or to the spot, and you know to watch him when he's around and not to let him in your home again.

He doesn't fess up, call him out publically. People on here are brutally honest and some of us are just brutal!!!! some unamed person can "handle" the situation and make sure the $1500 is paid in full one way or another.

As far as people being theives and "all theives suck......."
Lets all be real about it, everyone on here knows someone or has met someone who is on a stolen bike, everyone wants to beat the **** outta a person for stealing a $1500 camera, but many people on here stunt bikes that someon paid over $8000 to $11000 for, and if they didn't have insurance or whatever they are paying ALL of that. For those of us who "accept" a bike from insurance fraud, how much better are you? Still stolen, just from a company not an individual....so instead of costing that perso all the money, you cost everyone a little.

What we are dealing with here is stealing from a friend! A beer from the fridge, or the last slice of pizza is forgiveable and almost expected. Nabbing your bros $1500 ANYTHING shows your lack of respect for your friend and how low of a lifeform you really are.

If you can't be a man and own up, type up an apology and put it in a box and ship it to Nick's house with a return address for the company 5 blocks down the road.

Re: you stole 1,500 from me, thanks

so i talked to nick, and know the "culprit" well... as do i know the owner of the camera... very well.

there are multiple sides to every story..

people are always so quick to judge without ever knowing details..

now.. right or wrong? whos' to say..

it is a pity and unfortunate that life brings drama and such situations up amongst friends..

nick, and "culprit" both know that no harm was intended towards nick...

the original harm was done to "culprit" from OWNER of camera..

now is this really the place to point fingers?
things will resolve themselves like they always do...

couple interesting facts about this topic...

1) $1500 MAYBE when sold on ebay brand new.. be hard strapped to fetch $1000 after 4 years of misuse and hundreds of hours of capturing footage with.

2) the owner of the camera OWES culprit ~$3500.00

3) the owner of the camera OWES nick ~$600.00

4) the owner of the camera has ****ed over MANY people... MANY times.. PUBLICLY... and while on the topic of KARMA.. DESERVES.. TO.. GET... ****ED!!!

5) the deed wasnt had nothing to do with $... but everything to do with honor, and friendship, betrayal, and distrust. very hard, strong feelings wrapped up in that one.

i stand here as a friend in many regards to all three parties.. and i must say its really hard to see whos really in the wrong...

i will say that nick is in a very uncomfortable predicament and that i really feel for... he shouldnt have been placed in this spot.. but.. like i said. things will work themselves out.. they always do! haha..

this thread is really interesting to read.. and see how people react...

theivery... is such a nasty crime. amazing how hypocritical people can be while on the topic of theivery...

stolen camera: "oh my gawd lets anally rape this guys mom and slaughter his dog"

stolen BIKE: "oh thats ok.. 500 bux how many u want?"

wasnt til i read: "eazenuts33" post that i deiceded to speak up...

is there such thing as honor amongst theives? haha...

*** drama..

this is a major reason why i feel this sport wont amount to anything more than it is.....i would love to see this sport widely accepted like fmx or skating etc.....but you dont see brian deegan riding a stolen bike....people in this sport bite the hand that feeds them....who ever stole the camera is fukked....that goes with out question.....he will get his.....eazenuts33 i think said it best.....some times you just gotta relise when your in an uncontrolable situation.....if nick knows who you are and you dont return the camera.....i think your in a world of hurt.....i definately dont envy your situation who ever you are.....1,500 isnt worth it bro....just man up....***....lie to him....tell him you thought it was your boys or something say anything...but just give it back....well thats my .02 cents.

Interesting food for thought:

If you think that stolen bikes arent/werent popular amongst the begining days of "freeride" (now FMX) your high...

its alot easier to get away with stolen dirtbikes than it is stolen street...

but i agree with you when you say stunters bite the hands that feed..

I know i personally did the right thing.. DESTROYED MY CREDIT buying a brand new 02 (has it really been that long) to destroy! hahaha..

The sport will make it regardless of theft, and childish attitudes... it boils down to the few "stunters" willing to take it there. to elevate the sport, through skill, apperance, proffessionalism, marketing, and business...

when it becomes MARKETABLE and PROFITABLE for the sport to be mainstream.. it will be.

i totally agree with you kane......when the sport is ready it will happen....but for all the rest of us who really care about the sport and want to try and help it get to the next level...we get kinda left in the dust by the bad apples....you and keeth are definately two of the coolest most straight forward people that i have met in this sport yet and i have no doubt that you guys will definately be a major influence in taking this sport to the next level..... ......whens the vid coming out now.....

I was thinking the same thing... and not to change the subject but it makes
us all look bad when half of the bikes stunters are riding are stolen...
So if a large group of stunters are thieves in the first place, don't be surprised
when one of them rips off another...

I've opened my house to a lot of guys that came down for a group ride or
a weekend of ripping...and never lost anything... but I'll admit, I worried about it.

It sucks... I'd like to think my own friends would have my back

I was going to keep any knowledge of our correspondence private but because it's out in the open. Well, it is what it is and the person who I thought it was has told me he did it....... Life can be very interesting with enough alcohol, drugs, and depression for some people, thats right, you. In the end if the owner holds me liable for the camera you're ****ed. I signed a contract for the drives and the camera when they were placed in my trust. By the way regardless of the condition it called fair market value and thats what I will owe. I'm an honorable person and have proven that time and time again. If you read the posts from people that know me they speak on my behalf. You spoke of team this and team that, well dont **** your team because you conjured up a pile of **** shook it around in your head and called it an idea. I gave you a chance to wash this all, and you ****ed it up, I'm shocked someone could be so stupid. In the grand scheme of things right and wrong, there is a book full of laws that has all the answers needed to wash away perception. Next time dont be a fool and PM me, call like a man so you can deny what you did. I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt, let you clear your head, you were a friend, thats the shitty part, for the sake of the past I will not go any farther in any way until I hear from the owner.

Everyone, including yourself knows you're a piece of ****. This is something you're going to have to deal with. Please deal with the fact you are a piece of **** by yourself and do not bring people you play as your friends into it. Get a job so you can buy yourself nice things instead of stealing them cowardly from people who are kind enough to let you into their home.
Nick,

I Agree with Matt Gorka 100%. If you know who it is & it seems to me you do you should call him out right here so we could all know & not let him around any of us either. I say you put a stop to their game! Cant go wrong with Honesty!

Damn Kane.

seems that there is a question of honor amongst theives now. Damn good points on all of the posts. Cody makes a hell of a point as well that it is difficult for the up and coming to get very far when it thnings like this happen. You are already well known, and starting to hit. Well, these things make the road even harder to get up for the newer guys.
Hell, I am 26, just getting into stunting big bikes and all my **** is legit.... Not easy!!

I do hope that this works out in the end for Nick. It is a very tough spot to be put in. Hopefully if owner knows both parties and the situations then he will be somewhat forgiving toward Nick.

Again, I am feelin the posts.

Stay safe and keep it on 1

Fact is, whats done is done. Kane did a dam good job and gets "hats off" for getting all the info and laying it down.

Everyones points are honorable and come from how people are raised and live. If you take something from my house because I owe you $$$ we have problems.

Doing wrong to get back at someone places you below that idiot. Actually two rungs below that idiot.

If people acted more responsibily, waited for "their" turn then maybe we wouldn't get in messy situations.

You cannot force what you don't already have. I will not be Michael Jordan, ever. I may be a 10th of Kyle or Manny some day but I don't do this to brag, I ride because I love it. If you forgot where you came from you will never get to where you want to go.

You be right. This sport has to get past these things and have the top riders on legit bikes and this sport has to become more mainstream....as bad as it sounds, being an underground "sport" does nothing positive for this sport, but keep it underground. Someone somewhere is gonna have to make a "spot" for stunt riders. For FMX people could build tracks in their backyards, Pastrana still does!!!! When it reaches the point you aren't some guy riding a nice wheelie on the highway. I know its blowin up here in KC with new stunters getting started, like myself, and anytime that many new people get involved in anything there are gonna be people that take advantage and steal, wear out their welcome, or take advantage of people. These people weed themselves out eventually, and when this is seen as a legit sport with competitions that have larger prizes and Cable TV deals, these people will be the ones getting arrested for trespassing in lots and for stunting on streets and highways.

This guy, for whatever reason has something that isn't his and is gonna affect a 3rd party who doesn't deserve this. Be a man, take it up with the guy that owes you, and relieve Nick from this deal, he's gonna be money that he doesn't rightfully owe anyone. If he has signed anything turning temp custody of the camera to him, he is liable for it. Obviously the "loaner" is gonna get his in this deal no matter if its the camera or the money, make it the camera and take up your issues face to face.

Nick good luck with this, keep us informed on how this turns out for you!
