Step Two.. Half a nut grown..

I got frustrated trying to get it al the way up in second as a sit down.. I stood up, and tried powering it up in 2nd.. **** me, the thing jumped bout 2 feet in the air with MAYBE 1/4 throttle and a lil bounce..MUCH better..Havent grown the ***** to clutch it up while standing in 2nd, butI expect to within the next hour or so..

Now for the question.. With power, my left foot is on the back peg, right foot hovering over back brake on right peg..Bike seems to lean to right heavily when powerng it up, to counter, I turn the steering wheel, but affraid of possible tank slapper.. That happening b/c my feet are staggered? or b/c its kinda twisting from the sudden burst of power? Should I expect this to happen using clutch?

I knew suzuki had some new things in store for the 05 750, but a steering wheel?!? Who would've thought..? Instead of turning the wheel, try shifting some of your weight to the left peg. It's probably just happening because you're new to wheelies. Keep practicing...

I tried a stand-up clutch on the way to work.. bike almost launched itself out of my hands.. lol..I need to find people that can stunt to learn from..this is like the blind leading the blind down a dark hallway maze to a dark room.

Ok bro...no offense intended...but can you ride yet? I mean, an 05 750...is it your first bike? And if so, how long have you had it? One of the best things anyone has ever told me was "Don't stunt it until it feels like a bicycle under you." If you can't easily balance it, or if the sudden acceleration that comes from dropping the clutch spooks you a little...then slow down a little. Take your time because trying to hurry is how people throw new 750's down the street and end up in the hospital.

Re: Step Two.. Half a nut grown..

This is not my first bike.. Its my fourth.. I have been riding for about 5 years. I consider myself a very proficient rider both on the street and on the track. Stunting is pretty new to me, and my clutching method sucks..Thats why it almost launched itself.. I wasnt spooked, the right clip on pulled out of my hand cause I was holding onto it with with two fingers, my other two were on the clutch. I can balance the bike on two wheels flawlessly, I have never had to do it on one wheel so I couldnt tell ya how I do with that.. Since yesterday it's gotten better.. I'm learnin..No offense taken at all.. I would have probably had the same reaction if I didnt know the persons background either. So for everyone curious, my previous experience is as follows. '00 F4 (1st), '02 F4i (2nd), '01 R1 (3rd), and now the '05 750. You'll see in a previous post by me that I stunted my first bike a LITTLE, then I sold it and got really into track riding and twisties and what not with my F4i and R1. Now with the 750 I would like to get more into stunting.

Rock on and thanks for the replies, been a lot of help! :YEAH

Oh yea, I forgot to answer one of your questions.. my bad.. This particular bike I have owned for about a month and a half or so give or take a lil bit.. I feel very comfortable on it and that comfort level is growing each day... I have a nice feel for the throttle, clutch and brakes with and without full gear on..Keep the posts comin

Re: Step Two.. Half a nut grown..

did you mean your left hand came off the left clip on? because a steering wheel and a clutch on the right clip on would be a little too much change for the 05 gix 750. hahahaah just kidding with you man, my advice is to just keep practicing first gear wheelies with the clutch (ALWAYS COVER THE REAR BRAKE). if your planning on riding your wheelies balanced any time soon be prepared to drop the bike.

yeah baby boy, you don't even need to be worring about 2nd gear wheelies until you get use to clutching it in 1st easily and consistantly. trust me i am a beginner and I can hold up 1st alright, 2nd still is a little too fast for me .

Like I told you before in 1st I get to ride with my best friend, "ENGINE BRAKING". kEEP THE REAR COVERED ALSO

Sounds like you def. have the experience... Like they're saying, practice clutching in first. I can clutch first and ride it out until my hair falls out...but I can't get the wheel above a foot in 2nd with any consistancy. It's more about body movement with the bike in 2nd...and I don't actually 'practice' enough to get it down yet. Good luck though man.
