Went to fla for bike week, stayed in orlando. One night we rode west to avoid the rain in daytona and ended up in some area with lots of factorys and a nice quiet street. Well everyone says try 12's with out a bar, so i start tryin them standing at first and am getting real close to scrape. I decided to try one sitting, I pull it up at 7 mph and cover the brake. It came up, then scraped the tail, then scraped the pipe. The pipe sent me sideways, the bike came down on the left side breaking the side case. I fell off, rolled a little, looked up and saw a huge puddle of oil. I lost a day of riding due to parts not being available. What sucks is i have a bar but i decided to leave it off until i could get it close enuff without it. Now the bar is going on, going to shorten my can, and fab a cage.

While riding in daytona on the strip we were headed to the 7/11 hang out, i get pulled over by a cop on a bike. He tries to reach over and take my key out of my ignition and dumps his *hardly* on top of my bike. Anyone that was at 7/11 that night and got pics post them up. Cop pulled me over thinking i was a starboy and all he wanted was a damn sticker.

Fla was great, cant wait to do it again real soon. Biketoberfest maybe

other than that i would search the how to section or ask someone with alot more experience.
For me it was getting it past the balance point. i thought for sure it would come over backwards on me but it didnt and i know i was past 12 o'clock because when i had my bar mounted it stuck out about 4 or 5 inches past the tail and stood between 11 and 12 but stood by itself without falling over.

nice work. tha bah would have prevented that pitch. but atleast you scraped stock tail, that's cool. I was parking a R6 on the passenger seat at the Starboyz event, talk about pipe scraping, i hit that bitch so hard it knock the mid pipe off the header.
