? for those with legit spots...

How did you go about getting them? Did you have connections to the people that owned it? Or did you just walk in and ask to talk to someone? How did you explain what you were gonna be doing? Did you bring waivers or anything? We've been kicked out of EVERY single riding spot in this town, we no longer are allowed to ride at the schools because some car left a one tire burnout along the front steps and they think since its one tire it has to be a bike. I'm gonna have to go around town to all the places with decent sized lots and try and get permission, otherwise i dunno whats gonna happen. Any help on how you guys got ur spots would bv nice.

Hmm not sure man..Our spot isn't really legit but since it's not a public road or any business they really don't sweat us much..Think i've been asked to leave once in like 2/3months

we started riding and got kicked out of every spot now we have an awesome spot its behind a bike shop
but really the key to keeping yor spot is no burnouts quiet bikes and pick up your trash if people see you trying to take care of the spot they might not mind
try to stay in buisiness parks
and if someone tries to kick you out just simply ask politely who do you have to speak to to get permission to ride
also bring up waivers and even cleaning their lot or cutting the grass or something
i know my boys go and pressure wash the lot every so often
also try stadium parking lots normally no one is there except games and its private property so the cops cant run you off unless the owner wants them too

Well do alittle research and find out who owns the place get a hold of them.
Show them a video or somthing so they know your not a squid....lol. Tell them you would agree to any terms they have. Tell em youll sign a waiver and that you will only have a certain # of people at a time....give them names of the people who will be riding and they will be the only ones allowed...you cant have just anyone out there who thinks they can pop wheelies. Then once you get the spot take care of it follow all the rules all the time. We do free shows for the people who gave us our spot .....but not anymore now we get paid.....wussup.

How many places did you have to try before you found one? I'm guessing you got laughed out of a few, thats what i think is gonna happen to me. You don't happen to have a copy of the liability waiver you used you could send me to ya?

Re: ? for those with legit spots...

we ride @ a legit spot, and it was actually pretty easy to retrieve. 1st of all, it helps if you ride at night, because you don't have to deal with mid-day employees and other 'traffic' that might inhibit your riding. try to find a warehouse or some other distribution center. most of these spots are long enough for you to get your fast sh*t on lock, and there's more than enough room for slow tricks. ask for the shift manager. he's the person in charge of everything that's goin' on while he's there. tell him you and your buddies are looking for an area other than the street to practice your skills. be respectful and print out some waivers that say they aren't responsible for any personal or property damage that may result. **be sure to mention burnouts** some don't want you to disrespect their property by leavin' marks all over their lot, but that's just somethin' u gotta deal wit. just ask...you'll have a legit spot.
by the way...anyone around orlando...hit up the warehouse off lee vista blvd. it's legit. we be holdin' it down.
