LOL, i have -2 +13 on a 600, which is way more geared than on a 929. and i rock the streets everyday, not around town either, i mean highway going to philly all the time. 8,000 RPM's = 60 mph LOL *** IT!

You'll be fine with a 10 up. 10 up is great for third gear highway wheelies.

See I'm +3 on the 03 gixx1000 and im rollin on the highway going 70 in 6th gear @7,000. But +10 wont be too bad, fuc it 6th gear stand-ups at 11,000 doesnt bother me.

that can't be right. +3 on a 1000 should have you turning maybe 5500 at 70 mph?!?!? i could be wrong and i'll have to check.

and any wheelie at 11,000rpm is going to kill your motor!

Re: How much is too much for the street?

should still be able to hit 150 with 10 up. I have a spreadsheet for the 03 1k that you can enter different sprockets and see the road speed vs. rpm in each gear. i can email you if you pm me your email if you want the spreadsheet. I also have sheets for 00 zx6r and most fzr 600s.
