Hayabusa for stunting?

Ok, I am in the military and am looking at getting a bike within the next month or so. I was seriously looking at the Hayabusa and have been talking with the dealership here in Hawaii about getting me a good price. I am looking for a bike that I will be able to out-run the cops on a regular basis, be just stupid fast, and on occasion, be able to do some stunts. I am not going to be a full time stunter, but I would like to do the occasional wheelie/stoppie on command. What I am asking is what bike should I be looking at. I am 23 weigh about 150, and the weight of the busa is kinda scary(500 lbs). Let me know what you all think. Thanks.

Re: Hayabusa for stunting?

very very bad idea, not only is it way too heavy and far more power than you need, but i dont know of anyone building cages and bars for them...look for a 900rr or 929rr..or a gsxr750..more than enough to dump cops and make top notch stunt bikes.

Re: Hayabusa for stunting?

ok, I rode around with a group in KC right before I left, we weren't stunters per say, we just rode out to a secluded place and some got up and ran some stunts, so I am not all that familiar with stunting....cages......bars.....these are new terms for me. Sorry to be such a newbie.

Re: Hayabusa for stunting?

OUCH 20dub, you don't have to be so straightforward....you could just call me inexperienced or something. (But you are probably right)

And it isn't the cops on the island that I am worried about. It is the cops in KC, you could be standing next to your bike and they will come up and give you a ticket for excessive display of whatever....I had it happen to me....and who is to question it.....the judge is going to take the side of the officer.....because as you know......bikers ALWAYS brake the laws.

and "one liter bike" what are my sizes. I have had kawasaki, don't like um. Sorry ninja owners.....just don't like the style.....I like the GSXR's.

Re: Hayabusa for stunting?

Ride Honda :YEAH

If you want somethin fast get a 954 lots of people stunt them they look sweet and they are a honda which means they last forever. Also theres an array of stunt products for them.

To help you out with the stunting "lingo"

Cage is a crash cage designed to protect the bike from virtually almost every fall (MXD is growing fast and lots would highly recommend them)

Bar is refering to a "12 o'clock Bar" or Wheelie bar if you would. Basicallly just gives you something to slide on instead of messing up your tail section of your bike. its called a 12 bar because the bike sits at "12 o'clock" when its resting on it.

Its all good about being a newbie we have them joining the forums daily and everyone starts somewhere. Keep the questions rolling i like helpin the new guys. Makes me feel like i have a purpose here besides putting my in on anything and everything i can

BTW noones said it yet Welcome to Stuntlife.com

Oh yeah and dont stunt a Busa there fast but you being 150 lbs it'll squash ya haha

Re: Hayabusa for stunting?

idk why all you guys are telling him to get a 954 etc...you don't need a litre bike to outrun the police. Any 600 race rep of the past 5 years will do it with easy. Besides he said he isn't even going to stunt, just rip the occasional wheelie/stoppie. You can easily do that on a 600. Cheaper insurance, more flickable. Less money to purchase.

He says he wants to go fast... a 954 is goin to go faster then a 600 or 750.

Re: Hayabusa for stunting?

forcefedfreak, I have had a bike before, it was just 3 years ago, since I joined the military. I LOVED doing wheelies and stoppies on my **cough cough** Ninja 250. Since then I have owned a moped that was pushing 100cc's, oh the stunts I could do on that. Anyways, I have grown up since my little 250, I want a big boys toy. I want something that I can learn on and not outgrow it or want something bigger later. I am sure that as I start feeling comfortable on it I will stunt more, I just have this theory, I don't want to fuc* up my bike until it is paid off. I think the lowest cc I would like is the 750. My buddy let me ride his 750 the other day, now I just can't wait to go to the dealer!

Re: Hayabusa for stunting?

Ok, I was doing some looking.....I like the GSXR1000. Sweet bike. But what about the Honda 929/954, did they stop making them? I looked at the Honda website, all they have for 2004/2005 is the CBR1000 and the RC51. (is the RC51 any good?) I was looking at the RC51 a couple of years ago, but I just don't get why the price tag is way up there. Is it a good stunter?

RC51's are really heavy too its a V-twin and lots of ppl say they arnt so hot for stunting. They do have a butt load of tork though. But probably not what your lookin for.

Cant answer about the 954's (dont know much about them) but a CBR1000 would be off the hook too. I know Darius is stunting a minty (brand new one) in parts of his new vid "Servin It Up 3" if your into stunt vids thats definatly one to check out.

Nah I understand man. It's not like the 600 is slow though. Those bikes will get to 155 in a hurry. I never really understood what people mean when they say "I don't want a 600, because I don't want to outgrow it" because a brand new 600 is more bike then anyone would ever need for the street. Not hatin, just statin.
