Hey Guys,

Anyone know anyone at Powers? and know what the hell is up with these guys?? I ordered a cage and 12 bar in mid Dec by calling em up from OZ.
Was told no sweat, will ship in a few weeks etc. Well the cage didn't actually get shipped off by them till late Jan and after I noticed the charge on my card was less then what they quoted me I inquired about it and that's when they told me the 12 bars were on back order so they only shipped the cage. (Nice to let the customer know before they inquire!!)
Anyway they said the 12 bars would be ready in a week....it's now almost March, the Australian summer is almost gone, my cage which was supposedly shipped still hasn't reached me and I have no idea when the 12 bar will be ready cos they haven't responded to my e-mails for over 2 weeks now.
Has anyone else had such bad customer service from these guys? I'm starting to worry that they went bust or some **** and I won't get my gear...why else would you not respond to customers e-mails when you make money from their f#ckin orders???

 

i know they are bad about customer service....thats about it....next time you should deal with a company i know in califorina.....Customer Service is thier top priority.....Pm me for the link

 

Wow that sucks, I'm guessing that you have called them? I ordered mine a long time ago but they where not that bad and they had pretty good customer service on the phone.

 

Yeah I've tried callin em in the last week after not getting a response on e-mail but each time I've got their machine. I am calling about 4.30pm U.S time cos I haven't been assed waking up in the middle of the night to catch them in the middle of their day...I think I may do that tonight if I don't have too many beers before bed!

 

powers sux. been since sep still owe me a cage i paid for. #1 on my sht list....

try mxd there cage fit like a glove and its been droped many of times hard as hell still looks verey good and straight. awsome

 

Yeah I would if they hadn't already charged me for it. Once converted to Aussie dollars + shipping it's pretty damn expensive for us down here so I'm not just going to let that much money slide.

 

See i've been telling people that they either are or are going to go out of business real soon. If you like spending your money wisely i would suggest going with anyone else besides powers. They make a good cage, but their customer service went down the crapper a while ago. Of all the people, I heard this from Tim and Arron over at Racing 905

 

not like im trying to stick up for powers or anything, but when things are shipped to australia, it takes FOREVER to go through customs. did they send you a tracking number or anything? do you know what company shipped the cages?

i sent a bunch of stuff from england home to the states and it took over a month to get here. and then we sent some stuff from here to some people we knew over there and it took awhile in customs too.


how much did it cost to ship? around 150?

 

what bike is it on? did i powder coat it? is the coat still nice for being dropped a ton? do you ever hit your shins? does it get in the way at all?

please be 100% honest. glad you like it, i just need some feedback.

 

If you still havent recieved your cage and they (powers) have shipped it to ya it might be sitting at the customs. Custom people can hold items for months in some countries. thats why some people wont ship out of country. sometimes you (buyer) also have to extra money to customs to get your item ouuta there.

this is the exact reason why I no longer ship outside of the USA, and there is no way to track something that ship overseas..... that I know of.

 

Yeah I'm not saying that the cage isn't at customs and I know that shipping here takes forever. However the shipping no# they gave comes back with "no tracking purchased for this item" on the USPS website. I am still assuming that the cage is on it's way though.
My beef is customer service, like not telling me about their back order problems when I went to the trouble to call them in person, not telling me about it before shipping the cage so that maybe I could have gone somewhere else, no response to any of my mails for over 2 weeks and the fact that they haven't yet shipped the 12 bar cos there has been no new charges on my card. So if my cage still aint here after being shipped in Jan...I'll be lucky to get my bar before xmas!! If they at least responded to my mails I could say cancel my order and go buy a 12 bar off someone who has their **** together.

I've just never had a more painful overseas purchase before....

 

That's sucks to hear that your haveing a bad run with them but I have had nothing but good service from them. I destroyed two cages so they redesigned the gsxr line and I'm going to get my next one in about a month.

 

They took me forever to get my ****, but when it finally came in I was happy. They make a good product.

 

Got one of there cages on my 1000 and need it straightened, called them they said they would take care of it, wonderin if I should even ship it out. Anyone got any real info on whats goin on??

 

They've temporarily stopped production because the owners are having some disagreements... I heard that directly from the owner of a local shop and he deals with powers all the time.

 

Sorry bro but I have to call that one out....I spoke with them today and they are doing just fine and are still in business they wouldn't still be takeing orders and powder coating **** if they had problems like that. Maybe someone's just trying to start some ****....I allways hear crap like that.....last time I herd that freestyle was going down...

 

its on the gsxr 1000 02 i think it was yours. and yes you got it powercoated shiped awsome all hardware and it fit awsome. i have been telling people about it and they love seeing me drop my bike. not that i suk its just i have an overpowering style that people love. i try and make the bike do ever thing. i am working on another 01 1000 now trying to get it street legal, going through the title process. i will deff hook up with you when im in need again. the only neg thing is when i do sharp turns it some times hits or scrapes but im not in to the sharp turns and im talking about parking lot turns. i wouldnt put it on a street stunter but is deff the best cage i have had yet. 905, powers, freestyle,stunt aid-(dont wast your time) and slidas. though slidas was awsome also he just doesnt do the cages anymore. keep up the good work. james atkins

 

i thought they had cbo sponsored.. how come he sports a 905?they were also sponsoring mixtremes and they went all the way up to bal md. to ride in the holding it big show this past sep and powers didnt even put up their banner what support uh? no one is trying at powers i think they just like to show up at the shows so they can say they make cages.
