JD I'm with you- I broke my back 3,5 year ago in a bike crash(I wasn't stunting in this time but pain after accident was the same...). I had long therapy, same as you said it wasn't funny to learn how to walk again. But now I'm riding again and doing preety good so I'm sure you'll be fine!
Worst thing for me was look on my parents faces when they came to hosipital firtst time and second look when I bought next bike and they saw me riding on it.
Keep it up...

I APPRECIATE THE SUPPORT. One handed highchairs were easier to learn than trying to walk again! It is a big challenge!

Re: Thanks for all the support, JD from ILLCONDUCT

I was very lucky... I don't know how to decribe it(I'm not very good in english).
I had broken 5th of those lower back bones and this was bad injury for whole life(I never won't be 100% OK again).

Lucky for me it wasn't necessary to operate it but I still have problems with it because it's still broken.
Especially when I sit a lot(for example at college or when I'm working with computer) the pain is annoying.

My doctor said they're not doing operation because I can live with it and if I'll be carefull. If nothing bad won't happen in my life I can live without operation.
They also said that I can't play any sports, that I can't ride bike cause it's dangerous and many other things...

Honestly I can't play for example basketball as hard as I was used to because when I jump it hurts a lot sometimes. I must be carefull when I lift some heavy things sometimes casue it can hurt a lot to.
But I never feel any pain when riding on sport bikes!
Ofcourse I affraid of the operation because they said that maybe nothing bad won't happen to me but they also said that some day it can f***d up without any special reason so operation will be necessary.

Doctor said that I wont' be walking normaly for about 2 or 3 months after I leave hospital...
I had a few months of rehabilitation after I leave hospital but month after I got back home from hospital i borrowed a bike from friend and was riding again. I was afrraid a little bit, sometimes it was even scarry but after few days riding on my new bike it was OK again.

Best wishes for you and don't give up!
