It is tough. You have to be a good rider, not the best rider and have a business head on your shoulders. Your not going to make money competing. you make money by doing paid shows and merchandise sales.

probably not much of a chance of making a good living off of it even if you are good. things aren't really that far along and I don't really thing they ever will be.

Re: Stunt for a living?

After the event in Jan. in Houston there may be alot of you guys that are able to stunt for a living. Lets Hope CC and others like this and feel its profitable for them too (thats what its all about)

If they like the Reliant event enough, the big sponsors will take to it like Target, Sobe, Mountain Dew ETC.. (you get my drift) and then we should have a circuit of stunting events for those who can travel and make them

I know it all started underground in 96 FTP style and LVX, but your right when you said you need a business head on your shoulders and dont have to be the best rider

Its all about Marketing yourself and making your Sponsors money--- Profitability for all will equal prosper

If you were a good enough musician to play in a regular gigging band you would realize the music industry isn't that much different than the sport of stunting is. Business is business, how hard you work will dictate how succesfull you are regardless of your profession.
