I am an ex expert racer who quit, bought a 929 and tried to learn stunting all summer.
I ride w/ streetfighterz, shockerz, and a bunch of really good local guys...and in comparison, I SUCK!
Slowest standups about 30mph. Cant do circles, drag tail, etc. Can do HC's, flamingos, tankchrists, etc.
I really want to be able to say I am a stunter, but I dont feel honest when I say it. What all do you gotta be able to do to say you stunt. I kinda think u have to be able to at least hit the tail.
What do u guys think. What is the benchmark from stunter-in-training to real stunter???

 

i have a feeling when you scrape the tail youll be thinking your not a stunter till your scrapping hi chairs and then circles and then circle hi chairs and so on and so on....your a stunter right now

 

having a few tricks wont make you a stunter, its a way of life instead of a bag of tricks...if you dont give a f*ck whether your bike is shitty or pretty, if you have a hatred for the law, or you dont care what people think...in my opinion that makes you a stunter, being a stunter is how you live life, not what you can do

Bingo. It doesn't hurt to be able to back it up with some stunts though. If you did a high chair most people will believe you're a stunter, at least around here where the "coolest trick" is a 10 ft power wheelie on a brand new hayabusa.

 

i disagree with some things...u can want ur bike pretty and still be a stunter.glama style haha. You also dont have to hate the law.ALMOST everyone cares about what people think.Thats part of the fun of riding is having people looking up to you wishing they could do it.im an attention *****!! i give a vote for YES, you are a stunter :YEAH

 

When you can put your face on the bottom of your bike because more people will see it there than on the side

 

if you spend most of your time risking your body & bike just trying to perfect any stunt & it seams to effect any our all other parts of your life then your a stunter leave it to every one else to tell you if your a good one BmoreX.com

i love how it changes to be considered a stunter.. before you werent a stunter until you could do a 12 o clock, now 12 o clock isn't a trick now to be stunter its like Circles, or highchair scrapes, thats when yer a stunter.. so basically nobody here has ever been a stunter until ya got circles down, back in the day those tricks highchairs and stuff didn't count.. right? lol i believe yer a stunter when its in your heart and love every bit of it and just keep on doing it. may be a newb stunter but still a stunter.

Well, in one summer I lost my license, was arrested 3 times, and am getting ready to do 30 days in jail... I at least got the FTP part down :YEAH

the tricks arnt what its all about,ive seen people that can ride 12's all day long but cant roll a stoppie more than 3 feet,then again ive seen people rolling 80ft stoppies that can barely hold a wheelie,its really hard to lable yourself but if you stunt your bike i say your a stunter...just my

 

i think im a stunter, been riding/stunting fo r6 months on my 954

it was pretty and now lacks a front headlight rocks a scratched up *** powers cage and the tail is chopped thanks to a buddy crashing an endo for it, i look ast it as a avor, now i can buy and rock a short 12 bar and learn cosaters. i JUST got BP wheelies, but i still think im a stunter... why?


cause all teh pretty boys in my town feel threatened by me, they give me funny jealous looks wanting to be me... the stunter but are scared to lay their bike down. and im just m, havin fun!

 

I wouldn't bass it on one specific trick like draggin tail. If you want to learn and you go and practice and you can do more than simple wheelies then your a stunter. I was scraping tail the first week i learned wheelies but I didn't feel like i was much of a stunter till I learned some more stuff like flamingos, slower wheelies, seat standers, and now getting hc circle burnouts, tank spreaders, hc's, etc.
