i cant do them all...but I know the diff, thats a fact...
and if the judges can do EVERY "trick" that ALL the riders are doing why wouldnt they just ride for the cash??
ill judge.

Re: Battle of ALL the stunt riderz
i will say this: i'm not a fan of stuntwars and other stuff like that simply because of the lack of payouts and the lack of any impartial judges or judging criteria. i competed and announced the events at Stuntrageous 2.0 where team xtreem judged. i also looked at the score cards afterwards.
these guys did a pretty good job judging then, minus the variation score. they only had 3 judges (chumita and nichols included, and they can ride) for 4 categories: execution, difficulty, variety, and overall...per US Freestyle rules. they ended up giving all the pros a 20 in variation because basically they werent familiar (meaning they learned the criteria for judging on the day of the event) and they didnt have someone to count the tricks. this took 1st place from my hands. however, the other scores were pretty close, although i didnt agree with all of them (who will?)
i would take them as judges over a lot of poeple, but i still think they are prone to favorites a little.
yo B, i've meailed leslie and talked a bunch of times...decrease the payouts in the others 'disciplines' of freestyl eand up the ante for endo and freestyle....simple as that..as a matter of fact, have a:

Re: Battle of ALL the stunt riderz
I'm so confused.
Alright guys..........
Just to let everyone know & to help eveyone better understand what is going on:
As most of you know Gixxie is now helping tremendously with BATTLE OF THE STUNTRIDERZ ! Many of you have called me asking me who to contact from now on and anyone can contact either myself (Leslie@cyclepalooza.com or (561) 644 8531 ) or Gixxie ( Gixxie@Gixxie.com ) & both of us will be able to help you in anyway we possibly can. There is going to be a Cyclepalooza meeting to get everything "Set in Stone" on either Wens. or Thurs. of this week, so by Friday ( 11/19/04) we will have everything on lock.
Gixxie & I have both looked at previous stunt competitions and decided that most events did not satisfy every rider but just some of the riders. I do want everyone to understand that the "PRO & TEAM" events are not changing, we have made a decision to add "filler" events as well as an "AM" division due to the overwhelming request for it.
Being that this will be my first time organizing a competition I asked many of the "Pro" riders for help, some said sure we'll help you but never came through. And even though I had a good idea of where to go & what to do with it I needed help & an established name in the industry to help me make it BIG. That was where Gixxie came in & Gixxie deserves a ton of credit for helping me make this event the biggest & best that it can possibly be, WE want this event to be the one that everyone talks about & anticipates for the upcomming years.

Anyone who is new to this idea of putting on shows should seek advice from people who:
A. have been in the game basically since the beginning. remember lvx, todd colbert, and the starboyz vids?? think hard to some of the names and vids that directly followed the godfathers. those are the people who have been doing it for a while
B. have experience participating in organizing, announcing, judging, etc competitions all over the country
C. play an active role in the national stunt scene, not just the local hero scene.
it is also a good idea to have someone on the payroll who satisfies the above A, B, and C.
not directed towards leslie, gixxie, or anyone else...just some thoughts derived from travelling around and riding motorscooters

It is far more exciting to fly by the seat of your pants a hope that your format will be successful, and wonder how much money you will really lose in the end.
When will the riders and/or new promoters get a clue? Talk to Teach and Thomas... they have been around the block, and know where to go for answers to the tough questions.

Some of us have been around the block a few times already, (I've been working in the sportbike industry since 1987, and started working with Gary Rothwell as an announcer when he first came to the U.S.). We can tell what will work and what will not, as well as provide good solutions to unique scenarios that you may find in your events.
Drop the chip on your shoulder and consust a professional...

these services have been continuously dispensed indirectly via this forum and private email for some time now. i don't know whether people think we are greedy, we are idiots, are we are know it alls; but between Ken, Thomas, myself and a few other riders who have been on the same page since 2001, we have pretty much seen it all and know how to put on a successful event. Just ask and i'm sure you will find an answer.
in 2005, if a promotor wants to have a US Freestyle sanctioned Individual Freestyle competition, there will need to be a separate fund to pay both the purse and the judges, etc. (i dont know how much, rainman can help with this) if a promotor were to enlist US Freestyle to sanction an event, bring their rules, judges, organizors, etc, said promotor would be able to consult the USF employees as much as they wanted in regard to the other competitions within the event...the problem is that no one wants to listen and everyone thinks their idea is going to work. the things that are suggested, have worked on more than one occasion in the past; and the things we warn against, usually have not worked on more than one occasion.
but as to your question at hand: advice is free for now because we all want to see this sport go somewhere...the services can range from simply consulting to actual event organization to judging, etc, and the 'cost' would be relative.
how's this:
spend 10 grand putting on an event that is boring as hell for the fans, is unorganized, and is poorly judged so that you can break even or lose money
OR
spend 15 grand putting on a proper event that brings in non stunting fans and keeps them in their seats, is short sweet and to the point, and has educated judges, scoring systems, etc...and make a little bit of money....
what service in particular are you interested in?
