Talking time to stand up (vid)

just thought I'd put a lil clip of my stand ups from today... nicely starting to get to grips with them, feeling nice.... now I've seen the clips I reckon I need to lean back some more...

thanks for the inspiration

Re: time to stand up (vid)

cheers... it's crazy man, I'm totally hooked.

yup, I clutched it in second

I used to hate straight bits of road cos there'd be no scratching .... but now all I look for are straight bits of road!!!

I've got a few more clips... I'll get some better ones soon hopefully.

and more practice on the lil

Re: time to stand up (vid)

try droppin the PSI in the back tyre to about 20psi you'll find it will be a bit better, bit more control

Re: time to stand up (vid)

certainly will do.... the bike definately seems more unstable the closer I get to the balancing point....

Re: time to stand up (vid)

Just practice buddy. remember lowering tyre pressure gives more stability on a flat piece of road but most roadS have a camber and low pressure will make it drag more to the left so's harder to correct it also makes it slower steering for when you progress to overtaking cars, switching lanes etc... saying that lower psi is better when learning 12's but like i say for long motorway stand ups i prefer mine at standard psi. keep it real, G.

Re: time to stand up (vid)

very good point... I do have a vague recolection of being annoyed at veering off tot he side of the road.
I'll keep my eyes peeled for the camber as well as the bumps then....
