Re: Ha HA HA i got you!!

Dear Whoever????,

Now it doesn't take a genius to figure out that there are legal counsel' that can format a disclaimer in which can be incorporated into the registration process in which it takes to start posting on here. I am sure that there is a way they can make it so that "Stuntlife.com" has no ties personally and corporately and can not be held solely responsible for every post or picture that makes it way on to this website. Unless the advertising money gets spent much more exclusively (ie: each staff member pushing an Escalade on 24'z) than this process should have been sought through from the beginning. I know you have a team of people who just sit around, read posts, and delete if necessary. These folks are no different than anyone else on here. Member or not. It is just a process of personal judgement that gets pics or material deleted from the site. If due process should occur, than the sole logged in member who has posted said "unecessary" images and or material, let he/she take full responsibility of his/her actions. It is a simple matter of personal responsibility and not finger pointing at the creators of an online forum. Yes, we all understand that you folks have designated an area for what is "R" rated for somewhat nude photos. But, like another person replied to with earlier, not everyone goes to all specified area's on this site. Some log in, check their team forum, look to see if anythings quick and new. If not, logged off they go. The last thing most do, if not all, is log onto this website to view "softporn" and or "nude photos." But if a known member to a specific forum wants to share this "material", whether NC17+ or not, than why is it a big issue?
What's wrong with each member clicking a little box next to the word "AGREE" pertaining to said disclaimer that would be 100% politically correct to not allow the staff of this site have any responsibility to one members decision to post what ever it is they want. You provide a service that allows the general public to discuss a familiar and common interest. Eliminating the entire staff, and appplying such rules to members about being solely responsible for EVERY "material contribution" they choose to post on your site. In no way shape or form am I saying let this be a place for nothing but naked pics, offensive images, and adult based material. But if the thread title gives any indication of what it may have as content/material consisting in it, than the ones viewing can make a decision to disregard such thread.
A simple example: "you must be 18 years of age or older to view content in this site" is not hard. Just look at the millions, if not more, adult sites with adult related material and graphic images and or clips/movies, etc etc.... It asks before hand that if you are of age, agree, and there you go on your merry way with viewing pleasure. If not of age, than don't view it. Now if an underaged person views such site and lies about their age, and is introduced to content that is not suitable, it is on their shoulders. Do you think a legal hearing is conducted everytime a person not of age views a site with such explicit material. Probably not. I understand your position in trying to allow it in a designated place. But convenience is priceless. And is why each team has a forum. And pretty much the sole reason why different forums are created for each team. Correct? If it was all in generality, than no team would have a specific forum. It would just be a mess of an enourmous amount of threads in one discussion group. Needless to say, a simple but effective disclaimer should suffice this matter. And nothing to far fetched to announce during an update. Set it up as a "next time to log in" the disclaimer should appear. If it is not "agreed" upon, than the viewing and or access to the site would not be granted to such person or member.

*If what I said made absolutely no sense, and everyone is now dumber for reading everything I have posted, then may I rot in hell, and die of ghonnoria.

five things...

1, everyone who registers agrees to site rules

2, everyone who does NOT register shouldnt have a glimpse of said 'softporn or nude' photos therefore its protected in a designated area. EVERYONE has the ability to register for that designated area including team forum members. That's how it is, and that's how it will be.

3, I dont want my family members or anyones family members getting on the site and having a bitter taste in their mouths because of some of the stuff they come across in the open.

4, these days YES you can sue anyone or be sued over piddily things. Whether or not people are "actually sued" we are not going to fork out thousands of dollars to lawyers even if we win the suit. IF that happends again, the reigns WILL get tighter on this site.

and 5, advertisers will NOT advertise on the site if there is nudity or "soft ****". And because there are not enough "contributors" we need some way to pay for the site.

I wasn;t going to go any further than I did, but to answer your 5 reasons/reasonings :

1, well, as I stated, reword your rules/regulations. Cover your a$$. I know, and am sure the rules and regulations stated there as of now, are a common and overused format probably used in most forums. Take a stand, and have one created on your terms. Especially when running a site such as this where a lot of the members "go against the grain" "bend the rules" or even "ignore the rules" all together. This is a stunt community. A style of riding that is forbidden on legal roadways. Members/teams/guests of this site live this life, and partake in this sport, are into the rule breaking, law breaking in order to love doing this sport. Chance taking. Yes, the sport has become more an more controlled over the years, and safer measures are in place. Which is a blessing, and very smart decision.

2, any forum, this one especially, should not have any priviledge of viewing any pictures without completely registering. It's all a matter of honesty about age when registering. If those rules are broken. Nuff said. Individual takes the responsibility into their own hands. Now if a formal complaint is brought forth, then means can be put in place to remove such material.

3, how hard is it to tell family that on this site, there may be adult related images in some places. it's a place for adults to discuss a life that mostly revolves around operating a type of motor vehicle. In which, by a placing a parental advisory tag on a video stating explicit content. How is this any different. It's on most of teh stunt videos out there, right. Obviously this is something that can not be 100% completely controlled. So, a "be aware" caution is not dificult for anyone to understand. A little warning goes a long way. Believe me. If the news media can exploit and celebrate death, natural disasters, and fatal accidents, than how can you say you feel responsible for someone viewing a site, not just yours or the one you run, and think that it was your fault they saw a nudy pic??? In a politically correct world that has been unfolding so rapidly in our country, a way of saying "oops" tough ****" and "sorry, but just f*ckin deal with it" can be expressed in a matter that is solid and unmistaken in a clause.

4, with a site as large as this, you folks should have a company/corporate lawyer that handles all your aspects of legality. It would not be wise not to. Just like you said, papers stating a law suit, and actually being sued are at oppisite ends of the planet. Judges are now making bold calls these days and not allowing the piddly **** in their courtroom. So, a nudy pic, or in this case phone pics, should have no solid ground aginst stuntlife and its faculty/ staff. It would be a personal claim/suit filed by the ownership of phone photos, and the person who takes them and posts them on any site. It would be a claim stating an act of theft of personal property. Correct? Thought so.

5, oh, and advertisers will continue to advertise. The amount of members, and the volume of visitation is superb. This is an enourmous community. And no one sees it going away, or anywhere for that matter, anytime soon. Advertisers see it, and most of all, there message is being seen. A few pictures won't change that, unless it directly places a threat to them. Not likely going to happen to your advertising clientel. So, next time you go to the mailbox, rest assure, the advertising money will be right where it is suppose to be.

With that said, this is by far a "family oriented" site. People may look at this as a family, but not for entertaining children like a Disney cartoon. So until The Disney Corporations buys all rights to this site, this is a stunt community. With vulgar statements, sometimes threats and defininately adult characteristics. It's been that way since day one. Why change it all to a family website? I know you want to play cleanup, but too much policing will only scare your members away. And with them gone, kiss your advertising income and the existing contributers goodbye. I can discuss this until you give up, but I have said enough about all this. I would really like to not bring in personal emotion into this if this should go any further. God gave me reason, form and defininatetly expression. Reply back with what you want, I am not going to reply back. I have said my piece and leave you with that. Again, thank you for not taking this to a personal level. Much appreciated.

Re: Ha HA HA i got you!!

YOu actually make good valid points, and I want you to know its been a pleasure speaking to you this matter because OBVIOUSLY you do have some sort of understanding on this topic.

Every forum website is ran different. Unfortunately, StuntLife has turned into something that it was NOT intended to. You have your few forums sites that allows the freedom of speech, and then you have the "higher up" forum sites that dont allow no BS at all.
We just want to be in the middle to be an enjoyble site for everyone.

I figure that if people are smart enough to register on the site, then they are smart enough to post in the correct forums... but stupid me underestimated those who are in the Stunt World ...

You have to take it one step further than people who come on the site and lying about thier age. There are a few select people who will allow these "children" in to the sections they are not old enough to be in. Then after they are here a while, people will "have thier back" and get them involved in their little "click". That's where we have the problems with parents and lawsuits. Oh, and not to mention being subpoenaed because of some backwards people on here. that's why these area's need to be controlled.

The rules on the site cover every aspect needed to cover us and protect people. The whole problem at hand is that people dont want to follow the rules they agreed to, and when they are being held accountable, they freak out and start a bunch of unwanted and unnecessary
drama. Which most sites dont have mercy and give them a chance to redeem themselves. Here, there has been way too much leiniency...

You said:
" So, a "be aware" caution is not
dificult for anyone to understand. A little warning goes a
long way."

I call the BS card on that. Doing exactly that has caused all this drama in the first place because of unruly people who so come on StuntLife as haters but cant live with out it ...

You also say :
'If the news media can exploit and
celebrate death, natural disasters, and fatal accidents,
than how can you say you feel responsible for someone viewing
a site, not just yours or the one you run, and think that it
was your fault they saw a nudy pic???"

The difference here is this can be controlled. You are comparing apples to oranges there.

You said:

"with a site as large as this, you folks should have
a company/corporate lawyer that handles all your aspects
of legality."

If you all only knew the legal advice that was given ha! If you think a simple thread delete or 24 hour banning is bad??? HA!

you said:

"oh, and advertisers will continue to advertise."

I also call the BS card on that. We have been turned down by television stations, huge companies (without naming names) that are PRIME market for the Stunt Industries... that dont want to have anything to do with it because of what StuntLife has turned into. Banners were cut from scenes, and people's script was edited because they dont want StuntLife to represent "professional" business.... you seem to think that by cleaning up the site we are going to kiss our advertisers goodbye? contraire mon frère my friend .. its been exactly the opposite...

One more thing .. You say:
"I know you want to play cleanup, but too much policing will only scare
your members away."

actually this will weed out all those who post nothing of substance .. because those who are here to support the cause, will stay and not have to deal with all the rigamaroo that come from post ******...

But thank you for your opinions... they are greatly appreciated
