Date and time would be nice. We all have family that we all need to visit, so a day and time needs to be set. Are we talking xmas day, or eve? If all is well, I think xmas eve the 24th would be convienent fo most. It's a saturday and "most" people won't be working. As for a time, I'll leave that up to you, it's your house....

Ok I told you half the time I forget what I am supposed to be doing
The party is December 24th at 6:30 / 7:00 pm
we will have food and drink and if any one wants to help out munchie wise that is ok with me. I am going to have a spiked eggnog but not much else in the way of hard liquor so if any one wants that BYO with the mixins I will have plenty of beer and wine

I guess you could refer to it as CHRISTmas. But some people just may prefer to spell it out completely with only the first letter capitalized. Or not capitalized at all if used not as the first word of a sentence. This all coming from a proven language teacher. Abreviations can be a killer to some, but most do understand. Thanks for thinking of such a clever response just to get yourself into the conversation. We are all so proud
