R.i.p.

A good friend of mine passed today from complications, most of you may know Pat ***.

Pat was a good friend and I knew pat for 7+ years.

Pat was the door guy at Charlie peppers and worked for me there for almost 4 years he also worked for VIP in manchester and then went on to work as a mechanic at Nissan by walmart on south willow he also worked the door at Omega. A good friend and a good guy has passed he leaves behind a wife and a son. I had many good years with pat he did alot for me and my friends he was always willing to help out anyone and was truley a great person, I will miss you very much my friend.

Re: R.i.p.

Wow that sucks, too many people die too young. Is this the pat that always had like a flat top hair cut?

Regardless, RIP.

Re: R.i.p.

I talked with Dennis Holland on Saturday and he said that Pat was getting better, but not out of the woods. From what I understand, he developed pneumonia and was hospitalized when his lung capacity was down to 10%. They had to inhibate him (breathing machine) so, he was put into a coma. I heard on Friday that they couldn't get him out of it, but on Saturday Dennis said he was out of it, but heavily sedated. They said that he had a 50/50 chance of making it and even if he did, he would have to be on a breathing machine for months.
My thoughts and prayers go to Pats family. He had done a lot of good things in his life and helped a lot of us out along the way. This is how he should be remembered.
I want to do something for Amy and his kids. I am sure that they didn't have a lot saved up. I was thinking about getting a donation for some gifts, so that the kids have somewhat of a Christmas and to help Amy a little.

Let me know what you think.

Re: R.i.p.

I was thinking about raising donations for 2 gift certificates. One of them will be from Toy R Us for the kids and the other for either the Mall or a grocery store to help out Amy.

I'll be down at the bar working most of the day. Some of us are working this weekend and I know that if you have an extra tip jar out, people will give up the dough. I raised $850 for Clay in one night when his house burned down, so let's see what we can do.

Anyone enlse have an idea, post it up or call me.

Re: R.i.p.

It just suck for me because I'm not bartending right now, I can't raise a lot, but I think we all can do a little and that will add up to a lot. I can also do a benifit for him after I open in Jan. I know that the winter is going to be hard for Amy, but Christmas is going to be worse with the kids and that is what I want to concentrate on.

I will try and make it out on Thursday to raise some $$. Untill then, I have meetings at the bar scheduled each day and have to be there working.
