I believe a hi-8 cam has like RCA or S-Video outputs and if i'm right you are gonna need a video capture card (video card that supports "video in"). A lot of standard cards support TV-out, but not many standard ones receive IN (unlike you who typically does most of the receiving, rather than the giving
). Anyway capturing analog video like that is a big P.I.T.A. on a cheap card without dropping too many frames and getting good quality (or at least it was on the older cards). Either way, you can either get the Capture card setup, or if you know somebody with that deal it may be easier. If you don't know anybody and don't wanna do it yourself I could do it for you if you send me a tape...can be a regular VHS tape.About the webpage....Duh, I still gotta make the little updates I said I would. I'll get those done ASAP and then for the most part, yes you probably can figure out how to do it yourself....I can hook you up with the software to use. Only time it's gonna be a pain for you is first getting a pictures page up with thumbnails and all that jazz, but I can help ya with it. Actually, I know a way to make it pretty easy. Don't take this as a compliment, but I'm sure you can learn the basics pretty easy
