Try this again ...

Tom... the day after Thanksgiving will be 3 years .. car pulled in front of him.. makes me shaky writing this.. it was on "our" road.. we were going for our last ride.. the noise his g/f made seeing him there was enough for me not to go over and see him.. thank god he lived.. we had to ride an hr home from the spot.. worst ride ever!!! His g/f just got in the truck with Yates at the gas station .. who knows how it would have turned out with her on there!!! Tom was in JD2 under the XMS section doinng the long standup. Sucks when u have to see this happen with your own eyes for u to see what a stupid decision running is!!

Heres Tom and Yates a month prior to the wreck.

Tiller, nothing against you or any of your friends, but I stand by my statment.... depends. I've been fortunate to have the smarts to either pull over or make a run for it. When running, I was always thinking 3 steps ahead and clearly. However, when I wrecked, I wasn't running or even stunting. Accidents happen and they can happen at any time. Again... it all depends... ya know?

I try to plan a way out ahead of time. If we are at our syracuse spot I have many ways out. If I don`t know the "SPOT". I pull over and send ticket to my lawyer

i hear ya drew.. and i ran once this year ... but i honestly think when your running u dont have a clear head.. too much going on.. thats when accidents happen.. riding is a skill... and takes all of your consentration.. mix speed, obstacles at over 100 and someone chasing your ***.. and your on lucks side now!!!

True, true, but if there were a mic under my helmet, you would actually hear me talking to myself while running. I'm not the type to talk to myself in the car, on the street, where ever.... but when I was running, I would always talk myself through the actions, figure the best way out, and mostly, calm myself down. Granted I only ran a few times on my gixxer(about a million on my dirtbikes growing up... but that was like a game!), so my street bike getaways were slim to none, but they were safe ones with a good outcome because I kept a cool head.

we could go on all day.. but its comes down too...

run = 3 options... get caught and tickets, get away get hurt if not killed and ticketed

pull over = get ticket, go home to your family and pay a fine

33% chance on the first
100% chance on the 2nd
ill stick to living.. hence my 7 tickets this year..

I'm sure running on my dirtbikes growing up helped me a little more than luck when it came to street bike getaways. I even had a statey block the road on me when I was 15 riding through a neighborhood. I remained calm and went right around. However, I've seen tons of dumbasses panic and end themselves up in cuffs. Guess it depends on who you are.

Holy poop! You got some serious $$$ to spend! There was a time when I rode on a suspended license, no insurance or registration and had no $$$ to pay even a minor parking ticket. After that getaway, I did smarten up and eventually sold the bike a month later.

LMAO you can think 10 steps ahead but if some ******* pulls in front of you that's one step not accounted for and then you trip

I've ran a few times myself (a couple times with tagss4 ).

I've also pulled over. Like when I received my unreadable license plate ticket. The cop passed me. Turned around and came after me. I could have passed the 3 cars in front of me double yellow (while in sight) and take off. But the fact that I had no where to go off that road besides into the next town where a police officer could possibly have been waiting. I thought to myself "why would he be bothering me - oh yea. License plate".

Pulled over. Handed him my license and registration before he even asked and said "I'll take that to go with fries please"
