Re: New truck

The suckin gas, haulin *** sticker doesn't fully relate to a dodge. I owned a 99 4x4 w/ a 318 for a year and a half. I put a 360 in it after 6 months and still wouldn't get out of its own way. It did get a whopping 10-11 mpg. It was a nice truck though and I liked the solid front axle compared to my current yukon's ifs...blehhhh.

Re: New truck

Here is my 04 Hemi quad cab on the stock twinkies...I had an 04 silverado before this..and i will say this the chevy was the smoothest riding truck i was ever in, and drove smaller than it was...however...the dodge is way tougher, has more power, and steers really nice..its a little bit rough on the bumps but the suspension is way more ready for some heavy duty off roading...i paid about 3g's more for the dodge, and the new 5 speed auto tranny is really slick..i've had a ford, chevy, and dodge and the chevy just doesn't have it from the factory..might run forever but it looks like **** compared to the others and even the z71's sit so much lower, and just can't hang..sorry but i've had em all and thats my opinion and i'm stickin to it

I agree with the fact that the chevys are pretty pussified lately as far as the 4wd's go. I hate IFS. I'd trade a smooth ride for a straight axle anyday, just not leaf springs. Your truck doesn't look like a 4wd, sits low and i didn't think they'd put 20s on a 4x4. But again, dodge went the IFS route with the new truck and I think it was a bad idea. If I had the money, I'd buy a power wagon. Those are badass from what I've read. Basically a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon on serious steroids as far as the similar off road options go. I guess I'll just have to buy a cummins 3500 quad cab dually before those are independent in the front.

Maybe it's just the 20s that make it look low. The pic doesn't really do it justice I guess. I had to jump in my old dodge which had 32s, which are hardly taller than stock. So I guess yours is probably the same height or taller than mine.
