trade: fiddy and $ for ktm supermoto

i have a ktm duke with:
41mm fcr flatslide carb
one-off big gun roadrace full exhaust
ktm orange rxc plastics, w/ lights
stock black duke plastics
all stock parts (exhaust, guages, lights, etc)

just over 5k miles on 620cc lc4 motor
pirelli 160/120 rains

runs like a champ, can't ride (legally) for the next year or so, so i'm looking for something to keep me entertained. looking to trade for a fiddy, plus some cash. how much cash depends on the condition/mods of the fiddy.

Re: trade: fiddy and $ for ktm supermoto

nada value is almost $3500, i was gonna ask around $3000 for the bike and all the parts.

i don't need two fiddy's, but what were you trying to trade?

i'm just looking for something to street stunt on. it's gonna get beat. if you wanted to trade 'em both, i guess i could sell one or something. i don't know what you had in mind. i know you wanted $3500 for everything you have, but in all reality, i don't have much use for the black one. your call, what kinda of deal are you thinking?

where you located?

duh... read post..... right past roanoke..... gotcha

if you wanna trade the whole deal for the ktm, i may be willing to do that, i could probably sell the other fiddy, or just keep it around for the dirt.

Re: trade: fiddy and $ for ktm supermoto

yeah it's legal. i have the rear signals. it's got a headlight, tail light and brake light. it's a 97 ktm duke, the stock front plastic is different than what's on it right now. i have all the stock stuff too.
it's got a clean n.c. title. no liens. has hardly any miles on it. i only ride it to and from work, 'cause that's the only time i'm legally allowed to drive. i'll try and get my boss to bring his digi camera o work and get some better pics. the bike is really clean. has W.P. supension front and rear, brembo brakes (4 piston front, single rear), 4.5 rear rim, 3.5 front, stainless braided front brake line, fat bars, etc. like i said, the only reason i'm selling it is because i can't legally ride it anywhere without the risk of getting arrested.

Re: trade: fiddy and $ for ktm supermoto

btw, it's a 4th edition duke, so it has electric start and kick, the earlier ones were kickstart only. kicking over a big single all the time would get old quick, but it's there should you ever need it.
i just adjusted the valves and changed the oil last week. everything checked out great when i had it apart (i used to be a bike mechanic, i know what i'm looking at)

Re: trade: fiddy and $ for ktm supermoto

va doesn't require turn signals at all (i'm a state inspector), there's mounting points for the front signals, but i don't have them. any stud-mounted signals would bolt right up. the rears were removed by me. i never use my signals (just use hand signals) so i didn't need them.
there's absolutely no difference between the legalities of a "normal" bike and a supermoto. the state doesn't see them as any different.

on a side note, insurance is dirt cheap for this bike. i guess they consider it a "dual sport". i pay $78 a year for liability.

lol the **** i learn every day...i just know each time i get my bikes (all streetbikes) inspected they ask me to do the front & rear turn signals, brakes etc.

but my section of VA is no different than your section, so i'm sure its all good.

would you be able to meet 1/2 way between VA Beach and My area (its a 5hr drive or thereabouts to VA Beach from here)

let me know if you can get those additional pics and if you mind listing all the "extra's" you're offering with it.

thanks!
