You could stuff alot of rags in the silencer. That would be safer than packing. Your performance would die. But Z50 is right, the reving motor is louder than the exhaust. It is on my xr100 atleast.

you cant hear it in my house 10ft away but 200ft away he can hear it in his, which is physicaly impossible ,but the guy called the cops anyway he can see us riding the bike and since its not illegal to ride it he says it is to loud, im guessing nemisis is having the same problem
i guess he doesnt like me cause i asked him if there was sand in his vagina and if it was bothering him. so now he makes my kid scared by going out and threatining to put him in jail if he doesnt stop riding his bike IN HIS OWN BACKYARD,ive even had the cops tell me it was illegal to ride in my own backyard,well it aint this isnt russia
he needs to point out to the cop that it is government approved exhaust not an aftermarket and he is not breaking any sound level requirements
then id make the cop write me a ticket and go to court get me a lawyer for 55 bux and win ,then they can never harass you again the next time he calls the cops they aint gonna come cause they know it isnt to loud and the guy is just a whiner, the only way you can beat the law is use their own rules against them once you figure out how to play the game they seem not to want to play anymore funny how that works
if your worried about losing ,i lost one(no attorney) and they fined me almost 1k ,yeah 1k for my 8 y.o riding in his own backyard ,so i played their game waited till it went to warrant, they wouldnt let me serve the time b4 then,
the look on the jailers face was priceless when i said im here to surrender myself,they booked me in and out all at the same time took about 20 minutes
i didnt it on a saturday night when they were full and very busy,the warrant is called a capious warrant which means its piddly bullshit and they dont got time for that when they got cells full of drunks
anyway nemisis i wasnt trying to rag n you just trying to help i hate when people are discriminated against just because they ride a bike i was just trying to point you in the right direction make em prove tis to loud you dont have to prove it isnt they will lose everytime if it is a stock exhaust unless its at 3 a.m. mine was at 1:30 pm on a sunday afternoon

 

i dont ride mine after 9 pm, but usually ill get the police called while its still daylight. they cant actually do anything, but more or less harass me everyday because i got a lot of old neighbors who just like to bitch.

last week instead of a noise complaint, somebody called because i wasnt wearing a helmet even though the cop said i wasnt legally obligated to wear one, i should put one on, etc. if they call, the police have to show up is the way he explained it

 

i pretty much got my one neihbor chilled
once he figured out i was just gonna sit the time out in jail and it didnt bother me to do that, he had nothing left to hold over me so he doesnt even bother calling anymore
the last straw was another neihbor with a gas leaf blower going for 4 hours while he was outside too and he didnt call the cops on him ,my kid went out and 2 minutes later he was telling my kid he was going to jail
one thing you dont phuc with is my kids, i told him to call the cops and dont threatin my kid again or i would climb the fence and beat his ***

and i agree too you should wear your helmet it only takes 7lbs per square inch to crush a human skull ask gary busey but thats my opinion and i dont think its anyone elses place to tell you to wear it but i always do i grew up in a motorcycle dealership and have seen what happens to people without a helmet most memorable was a guy and his whole face was a scab where a car pulled out in from of him and he went sliding face first down the concrete

I haven't taken any offense to these posts. I just wanted some info, I live in an Apt Complex and I know the sound reverbrates though the place. I just wanted maybe a quick fix or if anyone has or had made a quiter pipe, thanks for the info. I just didn't want to get in the middle of the BS if you know what I mean. Thanks for the responses. I just need to find a big warehouse lot on a weekend or some beaten trail to ride in.

 

i usually wear one on the big bikes, put screwin around the neighborhood in the 50, I dont like to wear one. not that they actually care if im wearin one or not, thats just the type of bullshit calls they make cuz im legal ridin it, but they just dont like it. worst part is that i cant figure out whos calling them and the police wont tell me. if i find out, im gonna go tell em to mind their ****in business
