Just bought myself a 3.00 10" Kenda and 2.75 10" Chen Cheng Highway tires!!
Going to install them later any perffered tools other then screw drivers to install the tires or any cool hints???
Also I did a search on tire pressures and didn't come up with any straight common psi.
What PSI are yall running????

Re: New Street Tires!!

i run about 20lbs in my cheng shin 3x10. go buy tire irons, get 2 long handled ones. i got both of mine for under 20 bucks. spray tire with a little soapy water and it will slip right on and leave a little air in the tube, it will help keep it from getting pinched

Got it done. Took me and my dad about an hour for front and rear. Used soapy water and very large flat head screw drivers. Didn't pinch any tubes. Can't wait to ride it alot it already fills sooooooo much better then the old knobbies!!!

I bought mine locally in Dallas. They cost me $19 for the rear and $14 for the front. I also bought an extra tube incase I pinched my tube but I didn't!!!!
I used soapy water and very large screwdrivers. Seemed to be pretty easy.

Re: New Street Tires!!

I put bridgestone hoops on mine. Before I changed my rear tire I put 55psi in it so it wouldnt grip as good to practice circle burnouts. I was tossing the knobby tires anyway!!

Re: New Street Tires!!

Man having front and rear street tires has helped me a ton. My wheelies and stoppies have gained alot I mean alot of distance.
Although I have flipped two painfull topped out 2nd gear stoppies. The last one I wrecked last night bent my handlebars.
Now time to take them off and stomp them flat again I hope.
I found that I like 22psi on the rear and 20psi on the front. Obviously getting that exact probably isn't really feasable but hey!!!!
