buy a sport bike freaks bar i got one and it is solid nothin has bent yet only a few holes drilled required and it was cheap

hey urbanp8nt what side of town you ridding??? there is about 4-5 of us on north side and east side.. we ride about every saturday...let me know the more the better... the other day we rode all the way down 161 to iron pony...good ****

I made mine.. not a perty as a FI bar but it works good and i been 12ing a LOT LOT LOT worn out 3 end bars on mine already.. just knock off the end bar and tac another on... cost me ZERO in scrap metal... I will be making another out of round tubing instead of square tubing and do a few changes but it works good now!

However it is a LOT cheaper and this one has worked really really good for me.. just ahve to change the end bar every once and a while.. I just threw this one together really but i will be making another out of round tubing and it will look a Lot better.

and yes you do need a welder and plasma cutter or cutting torch helps.. or just somethign to cut with.

a circular saw with metal cutting blade for $3 works really good too. i made one also, dont really use it though, i was worried about bending the frame.
houston- how hard are you hitting the bar and how many bolts did you use to mount it. i can just about hit the fender now so using the bar might give me somethin new to learn
