Re: K&N Filter - Best way to clean?

k&n makes a spray bottle of stuff for it,white bottle air filter cleaner
spray on let soak rinse with water re oil
we would use a shop fan on its back and set the filter on it, to make drying faster

put the filter in a bucket dump the thinner on it.about a half gallon or so..slosh it around .the crap will melt off .then take the filter and wash it with water .then sling it dry the best you can.let it sit overnight or til it's really dry then spray it with the k-n filter oil.

Re: K&N Filter - Best way to clean?

I always used soapy water mixed with simple green. I thought laqyer thinner was a bit to harsh.
