motors 50cc vs 110cc

Hey, just wondering how well the honda 110's fit in a fiddy? How much more do they weigh? Does it make wheelies harder cause of the weight? How much more hp do you gain? Im building a fiddy from parts and just got a 50cc, but wondering maybe i should resell it and get a 110cc? Is that to big? Is there a better cc engine to go with? TIA ~nick

a 110 out of a quad or trike wont fit. the cylinder head will hit the tire. use one out of a ct110 or u can order a lifan off ebay for under $400.

Ya, I saw the lifan motors on ebay for a decent price, but its not a true honda motor, sounds like parts would be cheaper made or something. Is it better to go w/ a 50 motor and then a stroker kit, so you have the more HP w/ less weight....?

I believe a 88cc Big Bore kit and a stroker crank will add up to 106cc of displacement.

88cc Bore has a 52 mm diameter. uses a 52 mm stroker crank and it comes out to 110.43cc's.

It uses a 50mm Stroker Crank not a 52mm

Dude my figures can be backed up by Classic Honda's
catalog pg 21 bottom left corner..... 106cc...like I said.

Largest displacement possible without boring the cases.

Re: motors 50cc vs 110cc

those are takegawa specs copied and pasted from two brothers
mine is 52 mm bore with 9.5 mm stroke
spanks just fine for me
bore(cm) X bore(cm) X stroke(cm) X .7485= cc's
wooohhooo mines 98 cc's

Re: motors 50cc vs 110cc

Anybody have the calculations in mm? I hate converting to inches. And zfiddy that formual doesnt work and you have more than a 9.5 mm stroke.

Re: motors 50cc vs 110cc

to do it in centimeters just move the decimal over one number ,mine has an added 9.5 mm is what i was saying which gives me 50.9 which actually makes mine a 103.01

formula works fine
on mine 52mm bore and 50.9mm stroke so move the decimal over on place
5.2X5.2X5.09X.7485=103.01874cc(cubic centimeters)
i didnt add the .09 last time i added
