Im building a fiddy just from parts. I just got my head bearings and want to install em in the frame. My Q is it seems there are 2 different sizes, not by much tho, very small difference, does it matter which one goes in top or bottom? They come greased, should i pack em w/ anymore grease? Is there a better way to knock the sleeves in there? does the sleeve go in first? then tha bearing? any info would help, ive never wrenched on a fiddy before.

 

dang....no one knows? I think I figured it out myself, but wanted someone who has a lil know how of it cause I can see myself screwing something easy.

Yup, just officially fudged it up, dunno wut I did wrong or how far i need to pack em in, bottom one seems ok but seems as if it needs to go in further????? Top one, the bearing is all jammed, everything is in there straight, but the bearing is jacked up some how? &*%^&$%$&^& g'damn wtf!!!

Can aaannnnyyyooonnnnneeee help me out, i dunno if something is backwards, or how far i need to pack em in, etc etc.....im puzzled and hope I didnt waste those brand new bearings! ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!

 

dood, u puttin in the tapered roller bearings? if so, the race goes in first. then put the bearing in. i dont understand what is so difficult??

 

ya, just figured it out, im jus a dumbazz like that I guess. Its all together now.....after I did it the wrong way, of course, as usual, thanks tho bro, altho ur a lil late, haha j/k

haha, its alllll good yo, its all together now, and glad its finished. I still need to get the triple clamp bolt, any idea what size it is?
