I can get wire to wind a stator for cheap or even free. I use to work for a motor company and our girls on the floor use to wind there own. I just a link on how to wind your own stator and also some info on a regulator. I am sure I can get a few of us together to wind our own one night.

Reason homemade dont blow bulbs as fast is because they arent wound as tight and have shittier wire.

 

Radio shack might have it, A fry's electronics would most likely have it. Or any electrical surplus store.

 

radio shack has it but it aint the right gauge. i tryed and it didnt work.

 

Homeade will blow a single 55w 12v halogen the first time you pin a gear (w/ rev stock limiter).

The pictures in my guide dont show it, but I removed the little black box that was coming off the stock air box to the crank case. And on its mount, I mounted the regulator. Its fits nice and get plenty of air. I opted to not put a switch on.

Cops dont bother us when we are riding dirt out here. If we are on the road (often) You just have to remember to do hand signals and its semi legal to ride around. Vegas has a 49cc law, anything 49 or less has to act like a bicycle on public roads. But then again, I havent tested this yet. I'm sure I will be pulled over sometime soon.

vonde are each of the two lights just as bright as when you had one? or did it drain the juice at all? looks sweet man i gotta find me a light and i should be set.

Yeah, its got the poindexter look to it.

Both lights are equally bright, and the same brightness as the single one. There is plenty of juice just above idle to put both of them at full brightness.

Yeah, I checked at Radio Shack and they have this 3 pack kit but the wrong gauge and not enough.

I'm going to most likely get it from that Mouser electronics site.

I ordered the wire this weekend and the regulators too. Wire from mouser and they are quick to deliver.

I bought 2 of those "bright" fog lights I hope they work they were $10, .

The wire is coming tomorrow and the regulators on ~30th.

Can't wait! I'm going to wind both stators and do the wiring but wait for the voltage regulators to come in.

I just want to hook these up and ride in the dark, there's some trails near my house.
