The Kitaco one works great.I have heard that the other ones dont really work but I have never tried them.

Re: Rev/CDI Boxes

The kitaco one eliminates the rev limiter. So yes it will benefit you.

Will you ever even hit rev limiter on a stock motor?

Re: Rev/CDI Boxes

Putting one on a stock motor without a aftermarket performance cam can really jeopardize your motor. There is a rev limiter there for a reason.... A performance cam works to allow your motor to Rev Higher safely and correctly and the Rev box works directly with it allowing your CDI to raise the Rev limit point so you can extract all the extra power the cam gives.

I see you are curious to all these cheap mods...... About the only thing I would recommend doing to a stock motor is jetting.... you can gain almost 1/2 hp just in jetting alone and in a bike that makes 1.5-2.0 hp stock...that is a lot.

The 88cc Big Bore kit that Fab5Fiddy sells is the perfect starting point for performance and $$$$$. Don't waste your money on all the other BS stuff. go for the 88cc kit. You are a pretty small guy and a 50 with a Big Bore with you riding it would fly.

Re: Rev/CDI Boxes

yeah, goin down a hill. the stock head and cam dont even make power up to the stock rev limiter, but the spark curve the kitaco offers amy help out a bit

I spend 99% of my time riding 88cc big bore bikes with SICK power. I don't want one for myself. I love the stock motor.. Just was trying to get a tiny bit more out of it. How do I go about jetting it?

Re: Rev/CDI Boxes

nags, im all about stock motors. the best thing i did for mine was a pipe and a filter and rejet. it adds just enough touque to help u lift that falling wheelie or whatever. big bores are too sketchy for street stunting in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong.. I'll stunt the **** outta any big bore without a problem. I just like the smoothness of stock motors. What kind of exhaust did you get? I don't want the bike to be too loud

Re: Rev/CDI Boxes

prolly wont help ya too much cuz i made mine, but here is a pic. any aftermarket exhaust with a somewhat small primary would work nice on a stock motor. and the filter will compliment it nicely.

Buick will become famous soon enough
Re: Rev/CDI Boxes

I put the revbox on my stock motor before I had my 88kit put in, I couldn't feel any difference. I don't think that it would be worth it for a stock motor.

Re: Rev/CDI Boxes

I raced my frend against a PW80 with my fiddy with just the K&n and Hyper c.d.i.in,and he only beat me by a bike on a long streach of road. but then again it was a PW80...it seriously works better rpm's but know when to let go.
