the way i learned was do a wheelie in 2nd find the balance popint where you dont need to give it gas. i practiced while in gear and just letting off the gas. its easier than in nuetral. my buddy learned em that way. now i can roll them for bout 100-200 feet.
I must not be getting it back far enough. I can ride a 3rd gear wheelie for ever at balance point.
So I guess the key is to get it past that point so you use the break to keep it there and coast???
Thanks for the tips.

My boy has a nice piece of hardware on his left leg from a tail scrape gone bad.
Don't know if I'll be attempting that any time soon without a 12 bar.
Thanks for the tips.

kb you bitch,
get a lil speed, second gear will work...tip it PAST the balance point and use your brake like the gas in a regular wheelie...the only difference is when you 'flip' the coast (read: too much brake) you simply land on two wheels...if you go too far back, you will slow down. the key is to keep the bike as close to the reverse bp as possible...make sense?
