throttle cable help....!!!!!
Ok got the 88cc takegawa s stage!
the install went perfect except for the throtttle cable..I have BBR bars on the bike so I already have a longer cable...the internals are too short..so I used the cable supplied with the kit... the internals are too short to fit into the twist throttle housing..do I have to modify my twist throttle? anybody else had this issue and what did you do to fix it?

I think everyone has this problem with the big bore kit and aftermarket bars, I did. If I can remember correctly, the only thing i could figure out to fix it till I got a longer calbe was to play with cap and stuff on top of the carb. Try taking the rubber cover thing off the cap or make sure the end of the cable is hitting the top of the cap as far as it'll go. You'll have to play around with it a while.
With my new longer cable and 18mm carb., it still doesn't quite work. Cus if you turn all the way to the left it'll pull the cable and rev up because the cable cant make a good bend with it hittin the tank.
Hope this helps

ALL KITS HAVE THIS PROBLEM. I posted earlier about this, and finally got in contact with Two Brothers Racing today. Luckily for me there only 20mins away, becuase yes, YOU DO NEED A NEW CABLE. The make a long cable and special throttle for it which I did have to purchase. While I was there, I must admit they did have EXCELLENT service, and if you ever need a part for your 50, this is where to get it, they have EVERYTHING. ANyways, good luck!
cut the sheething off the cable for however much more cable u need to get down into the carb. ive done this about 6 times already with different bikes ive done. just put the cable in a vise and use a air powered cut off wheel to slice it. be very carefull not to hit the cable in the center. then cut that crap off with some side cuts. it aint easy, but thats how ive done em.
