88 kit with stock jet and sparkplug?

is this bad? I didn't order the bigger jet for mine so until it comes in I'm running the stock jet and spark plug. The bike runs great, idles a little low but it runs awesome! Am I hurting anything by riding it like this until I get the jet and plug?

tips

I have the 88 kit in my fiddy, the kit came with a bigger size spark plug. the NGK CR8HSA model. and I use 100 oct. fule as well. and as of your jettngs with the stock carb, try raising the needle (lowering the clip). Leave the stock 58 main and move the needle. Air screw goes anywhere from 1/2 turn to 1 1/2 turns out. Try it, that's what I did first before I got the 88 kit. That trick helped me out, giveing me better low-end. and I liked to hear the air being sucked in...hopefully this letter comes in handy, hit me up if you got any more stuff .

dude you are treading on thin ice without the correct jet you are running it too lean and without going to the CR8 spark plug the heat range of your existing plug is too cold. you are in serious danger of seizing the piston.

wouldnt the plug be to hot? The lower the number NGK plug the hotter it is. The 8 is colder than the 6?

hey monky anything over like 94 octane is bad in a 4 stroke dirtbike. You cant be doing to much damage but the igher can be worse. The octane # measures how much compression it can take b4 it preignites, thus causeing it to burn slower and making it worse. I suggest vp racing fuels ultimate 4 if u want race fuel.

yes you are right it is too hot. not too cold. too hot means it can cause preignition (detonation).

although this has nothing to do with the idle, raise needle (lower clip) to richen mixture.
