I want to put a skid plate on my XR. I have seen a gold one. Who makes that one?

Got links. The one I find in the Stuntlife store isn't it. It looks ok, but I need bling.

personally, the BBR one is fugly. the color isn't gold, its like orange gold. It makes a weird noise when riding too..... Sano sells nice skidplates.............

How can it make a wierd noise?

 

The weird noises you hear is the exhaust pulses and motor noise bouncing off the skidplate whereas before you had a skidplate the noise just kept going down to the ground since there was no skidplate to bounce off. It can sound different depending on what skidplate you are using and it often sounds like a exhaust leak or rattle.

sano skid plate has welds, welds break, rivets have even less strength than welds, what you want is a skidplate with formed tabs. Red barron, Classic Honda, Five O . 1 solid peace is almost always stronger than welds or rivets.

I have the pimp plate...Its black, and the front side, it's got the Chick picture that's on most of the trucker's mud flaps. it's cool, matches my fiddy, and does the job

 

i don't really know about buying a skidplate for "bling", but if you want function the joker machine frame brace / skid plate is probably what to buy, it's the best looking plate design i've seen so far. although it is $150, it's got a mean tubular steel construction that looks like it'd hold up to anything, assuming that it's using good mounting points (i have no idea how the front bolts up). don't know how to post pics either but here it is... http://www.jokermachine.com/item.asp...Placeholder=20
classic honda has a pretty nice looking plate too, with a one piece design and two versions depending on model.
