top speed with kitaco 88cc and 15t up front?
top speed with kitaco 88cc and 15t up front?
I'm talking about the kitaco light bore 88cc kit with stock carb, just looking for a range to see if it's worth it, and with the 15t in front did it make a big change in your low end?

OK guys here is what I did...
Takegawa 88cc light bore kit w/ cam, UNI air filter.... then FMF pipe.... And now since that ride I added a 2 down rear sprocket and new chain.
Bottom end .... NASTY!!!
Top end.. about the same....
With the sprocket. Seems a bit more top end.... Havent ridden with anyone to test it yet though. Well see...
WELL WELL WELL worth the cash. FOR SURE. I will NEVER ride stock again. CANT. The 88 is AWESOME!!!

I'll agree with shugga. I've got about the same setup. My top end is alittle more but that doesn't tell the whole picture the bike has insane torque . I can wheelie in all 3 gears by nothing more than throttle no pre load what so ever. where i feel it the most is on 2nd gear turn around or take off . I leave stocks in the dust. If you can afford it the 88cc kitaco i highly suggest. Here sone i will try maybe a 16 front instead of my 15
yeah your right about losing bottom but for only 14 buck from www.hondaminitrail.com ... i thought i'll give it a try some day.plus it's alot easier to switch out than the rear
i have the takegawa 88 kit i just got a 15 tooth sprocket diddnt feel like it changed much i drive this thing all over the place im looking for top end for when i see the blues still has mad toqure . ilike that to i was told they dont make a 16 for the front sprocket
Hey 5-0, like the black case cover!
I've noticed that a lot of fiddys have the case cover cut around the sprocket. I guess it makes it look more like the big bikes. Does anyone ever have a prob. with the sprocket clip thingy wearin out and floppin the sprocket on the shaft? The reason I ask is cus recently the little teeth were wore out and the chain would clank on the cover. If mine was cut the chain would've fallin off! Anyway, a new 1 fixed it but has anyone had the same problem?

I just bought the 15t front sproket on Saturday and it makes quite a bit of difference. You can actually use 1st gear. Before 1st was to short you'd make it like 10 ft. before you had to shift to second.
