How the @#$% you rolling stoppies?

Well obviously I'm a newbie. I can stoppie the fiddy and my street bike no problem but not roll them an inch. I'm guessing you crack it up to somewhat of a balance point on the front wheel then feather the break? I mean that's what I got in my head and nothing. Maybe I just need more practice. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated though. I know some of you are rolling some sick stuff.

Hi, i had a few probs with these to begin with as well. firstly how fast are you going when trying these? you may need a bit more speed. i learnt to do them at about 70-80 kph sorry don't know mph. get up to speed then apply enough pressure to the brake lever to compress the front forks. then in one smooth motion lift your **** of the seat only about 2 inch's and apply more pressure to the brake lever by squeezing (not pulling suddenly you will lock up that sucks!) untill the the back wheel is up. ok your up on the front wheel now to stay up there you will have to play with the brake, (the more pressure you apply to the brake the higher the back goes, release pressure the back comes down)
A WORD OF WARNING: if the back of the bike starts to swing left or right, release the brake you don't want to land sideways!! you can ride it out with alot of pushing on the bars, but while starting out don't bother. to bring the bike down smooth don't just let go of the brake, release it smoothly. there you go a rolling stoppie.
some people select neutral, i just pull in the clutch and leave it in gear. this how i do them. practice untill you find what works best for YOU! oh yeah the higher you get the back of the bike the further you can roll. hope this helps you out. :YEAH

you gotta get it tapped in third, grab a lot of brake and get up on the tank and kinda snap it up really hard and fast.

it's scary and hard to get used to beause the short balance point but after some practice you'll get used to it.

I snap it strait up to balance point from full throttle. I'm up to 78 feet right now. I ate **** hard rolling them, anyone that went to 1096's comp would have saw me......i snaped it up and kept going at full speed and i slide for 50 feet on my side and shoulder.

just take it slow, cause eating it on the 50 hurts

bone stock

you just gotta get the feel for it. tap it in third and bounce it up when you grab the brake. the balance point is small so you just have to practice.

second gear isn't fast enough...you'll only get all of 5 foot out of that. you have to tap it in third and bounce it up hard and fast to do a rolling stoppie. the idea is to get it to the balance point fast because they don't have very good stopping power and you lose speed fast (speed that you don't have)

stoppies are cool, but make sure you wear a lid. and have good running shoes on. cause when sh*t goes bad. it goes bad real fast.
