help rolling long stoppies
ok, i figured i would make a new post instead of bastardize someone elses post.
ok, you guys rolling long stoppies, what mods do you have? i was working on mine tonight, i have my bike geared UP one tooth in the front for some more speed...i had it tapped out in 3rd and grabbed some brake and i'm only rolling like 20 feet. What is the secret? Do you guys have a big bore kit or something to get more speed out of them?
i'll have video up of my pathetic stoppies this week sometime.

I am also just getting serious about my stoppies. I have been watching the local guys that roll the long ones and stealing their tricks. They seem to get up on the tank a little and squeeze the bike with their knees . I have been trying it but I feel as if I go over the balance point I wont be able to get my feet out in time to save myself. So lets hear it guys , give us some tips .

bring it up higher, the higher u get the faster, the farther ull go..i couldnt roll stoppies for $hit...got help from my buddy one day, and i can get about 60ft now....there r people out there doing 150+ on like stock fiddys so...mods dont matter, mine is stock, just big bars, and rear shock.....i think the big bars help, but again people do it with stock so....just practice practice practice..goodluck

i want to practice em so bad, but the upper part of my damn forks are ready to crack i can tell. the lower chrome rod is moving back like 2" when i slam the front brake. lol cant afford to to break the fiddy right now when there are bills to pay and wheelies to ride. so anyone elses forks doin this crap??

Hey, I know this sounds gay, but get ahold of Thew, he was giving tips over in Glenwood that a waitress would have died for. He seems to always be willing to help out.

i'll talk to him tomorrow. I'm heading up to meet him friday night. I just didn't want to bug him too much about it.
