engine tag?
engine tag?
hey where would i be able to tell on my bike if the motor is actually a 50 instead of a 102 (like the kid i bought it from) told me? is there a serial number on there that i could have run somewhere? or is there a displacement stamped on the side of the cylinder?
any help would be really appreciated

Re: engine tag?
If it's a 102 , it will definitely be waaaay faster than a stock 50 .
A stock cylinder is black and has 49cm3 stamped on the left top side of the cylinder and has a HJ stamped on the right . The stock head should have a stamp like hc3 hgmk4 on the left side and a circle stamp on the left . And if its a honda motor the case should have a stamp like aeo3e ,and a number stamped underneath it . Right by your left foot where the foot peg mount bolts up to the bottom of the case . Is it a 3 speed semi-auto trans ?
Post a close up pic of the motor maybe
A honda frame has a bike vin number stamped on the neck , that is specific to the year and style of the bike (just like any real motorcycle frame).
