Big Bar throttle trouble

Ok, I bought a bar kit off ebay, came with no instructions. After installing the longer throttle cable and starting the bike to test, it doesn't work. It's just pinned wide open. First i thought i might have not put the cable into the twist grip properly but i have double checked this. I am able to twist the grip while the bike is pinned with no success. Then I thought it might be the spring so i bought a replacement and cut it in half , no luck. Then on to the idle screw with no luck. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

you probably have the peice the holds the needle flush with the top of the carb...twist it till it falls into the carb

your carb slide is stuck. When you put in the new throttle cable, and connected the cable to the piece that goes inside the carburetor, the spring-loaded hunk of metal that you put back in the carburetor. It's not in properly, there's only one way it can go in. Take off the carb top, and fiddle with the slide until it slides all the way in, just twist it around and you'll see what we mean.
