I let my fiddy sit for a couple of months now it will only stay running with the choke on.I drained the gas and put fresh gas still the same.Any ideas

check for spark, then see if plug is wet

 

if sparks and dry= check fuel, if sparks and wet= check air, if no spark = check cdi box

 

It'l run forever as long as long as the choke is about 3/4 on as soon as I start to turn the choke off it dies. The plug looks fine.I also cleaned the air filter. I'm thinking mabe the float is stuck.

 

my fiddy got a problem with runnin will run with the choke on when you turn the throttle it boggs down shut the choke of it dies put on a new carb same thing

 

your pilot jet is clogged up

 

yea but bought new carb does same thing took apart and cleaned

 

well next time be more specific! did the carb come with all new jets? if so are they they the right ones? did u set the idle? did u adjust the pilot screw?

 

if its running that means its got compression and spark....its the a/f mixture....adjust the needles on ur carbs...

 

i have the exact same problem and i would like to know how to clean a carb cause this would be my first time and is it easy or hard?

 

air tank...hook up air chuck with trigger...stick it in the hole of the carb weer the gas line runs to open the float and blast away the air it will clear the path were ever the gas is running through

 

my did the same thing i said **** it just started revving the **** out of it holding it whide open for 30 seconds back firing sputtering and than it just died than i started it back up and ran fine :YEAH sick lol idk just what i did
