I tried to cross a creek on my fiddy and it doesnt like water. After changing the oil a few times it runs clean oil but still smokes. Did I burn somthin in the motor? It seems to have good power but it wont hold an idle after a min of sitting there. Any ideas of what I need to do to make her perfect again.

 

do you have some kind of open cone filter?

 

sounds like the oil rings might have gotten damaged. its real easy to replace if you have the time. does it have compression?

 

My filter is stock. It seems to have good compression but just doesnt run like it used to. Maybe I'll chage the rings and see if that helps.
