Re: XR50r AND xr70r frame

Have you looked at all the upgrades you can do to the stock 50 to make it more adult friendly?

Go to stunt50.com or 50stunt.com cn't remeber which

Get a heavy duty springs for front and back. NOT expensive

Get Big Bar kit... 170... something no bad for the comfort

Depending if you dirt riding or stunting there are tons of upgrades.

Go to fiddylife.com and register there to.. there are tons of websites under the general disscusion and a thread called "basics" tell you ton about 50s

Well dude , i probably shouldn't say this , but i'm gonna .

Alot of people don't look at the "How to" section in here . They just look at the threads below because they are all lined up and you can see them all right when you come into the fiddy forum .

I personally didn't realize this "How to" area was here for like 2 months

But you are posting your questions in the right area . Just not as many eyes see your questions because to see them , you have to click on "How to" then scroll down .

In regards to your frame question , a 70 frame will be longer , heavier , and has different mount points for pretty much everything on the bike . Your 50 engine and trans might not bolt up right , different seat , the 50 plastics will be to small , the swingarm i think is different , the forks are different , and the bike will be slower than your 50 because the weight .

A 70 is more comfortable if you sit on one though . Bigger bars , taller seating position etc. .

A while back Bikerboy bought a 50 and realized it was to small for him . (I think he is like 6'4 230lbs.) . He ended trading someone for a 70 because the 50 was way to small for his size .

You can do alot to a 50 to make it more comfortable and faster , but if you are Bikerboys size you are just going to have to deal with it or go bigger .
