Carb tune help

I installed BBR82cc kit with stock carb. Running K&N Air filter and BBR regular exhaust. When I put a 62 main jet in the bike starts to cut out at full throttle like its hitting the rev limiter or not getting enough fuel. When I go back to the stock 58 main jet it doesnt do this. Any suggestions for me? Thanks.

Re: Carb tune help

Use the stock jet, If it works, don't worry about it!

Re: Carb tune help

Thanks, just trying to get the most out of the engine, thought the bigger jet would help.

Re: Carb tune help

yea, the 62 is too large for the 88 also, and that "rev limiter" feeling is a hugely rich condition

the #60 main for the stock carb has been discontinued, but you can still find them at some places in stock. might be time to get a used 18mm carb off some one. much wider jet variety and more power too. You really don't loose any snap just by going to the 18, it's the 24mm carbs that kill your low end if that's why you have the stock carb still
