Ok, about checking the oil.. Im guessing you check it with the dip stick just IN the oil slot, and not screwed in?

Cause from honda, with it screwed in, my oil is WAY over full.. But if I unscrew it, clean it, and just put it in and pull it out without tightening it, its just perfect..
Also is 10w40 full synthetic that I use in my Fzr600 street bike fine for my fiddy? Was gonna go buy a case of oil to save a little cash, and figured there was no use in buying 2 cases of oil for both my bikes..

Chain lube, what should I buy for this? Currently i'v been using WD-40 everytime I get done riding since I don't have any other lubes yet.. Would using the same lube as I use on my Fzr600 be wise?


And what can exactly these bikes take? When I first started riding, I just cruised trails and rarley peaked redline. Now im doing wheelies in 1st and 2nd and im topping out the rpm for 10+ seconds somtimes.. How long will my bike last like this, if EVERY time I go out, im peaking redline for long periods of time? What would probably be the first thing to go? Burning up the piston woulden't be bad as I could bore, but it would sure suck to throw my rod through my crank case.

 

I use the same lube as my bike...
I use the honda Gn4 on my bigbore crf....using mobile 1 made my stock clutch slip, so when I put in the kevlar disks I started with Gn4 again and never looked back....

As long as you keep oil in it you pretty much have no chance of destroying a fiddy, and I have never heard of a stock fiddy throwing a rod...
