What is the "BEST DEAL" on a big bar kit?
What is the "BEST DEAL" on a big bar kit?
This has probably been gone over in the past, so forgive me. But what is the best deal on a big bar kit. I see them from about $180 to $250. Who has the best deal and where do I get it? Any help is appreciated.
Re: What is the "BEST DEAL" on a big bar kit?
I've seen BBR kits on Ebay for 169.99. I have a BBR kit and like it, I know some don't. I've flipped the poop out of my bike and it has held up good. I like the fact it's got a 1/4 turn throttle kit with it stock. It's plastic but still a 1/4 turn.

Thanks notastunta, I think I would not like a 1/4 turn throttle. I had one on my banshee and didn't like it. Anyone else have any ideas? Maybe someone has a bar setup for sale. I would like to get everything for about $125-$150. Let me know. Thanks.

I got one for somehwere around $1.46. I needed to buy like 30 washers, but mines just a bunch of spare parts off my 125 and a little bmx bike. The washers can be moved around to give around 6 inches of adustability on the height.

yeah I bent my bbr bars and bought a set of p3 aluminum bars and cant bend them. i have nothing to say but good things about the kit and I hate most things about bbr including their prices on most of their stuff
Re: What is the "BEST DEAL" on a big bar kit?
i would think the best "deal" would be to make your own kit. there are always clamps on ebay going pretty cheap. that leaves you to select practically any BMX bar you want. some have lifetime warranty, Kink i think.
i made mine from a bmx clamp and piece of steel for the top tripple then bought bars for $30, grips for $8, and a throttle for under $20 i think. then just added a lever for $10.

go to ebay and get a pit king bar clamp. thats $35, normally 75 from the store. get some bike bars at any bicycle shop and an applied throttle kit.
you should be able to do it nice for under 150.
i like the bbr throttle better than the applied but i think its a little more.
